To whom it may concern,
A few days ago I stumbled upon this transmission. I must admit that at first I was skeptic when I read it, but I cannot say that I do not like the concept you are pitching there.
That being said, I would like to fund this type of research. Before spewing a number, I would like more information about this endeavor of yours. Do not misunderstand me, you already got my money, but why not get even more if you are able to?
Looking forward to your response,
Prof. Regis Nerva
We already receive enough funding from all members of the Foundation to seamlessly work on the project. We are more interested in people interested in using Vergil both in personal and broader applications.
If you are interested I can arrange you a delivery of materials necessary to fabricate your own kit as well as all the necessary documentation.

Ms. Fairchild,
That is an unexpected answer. Few times in my investor career have people refused money.
Nevertheless, I would like to order 20 of those kits of yours. Since they are open source, I figure I might be breaking couple of them before adapting them to meet the various requirements of my projects.
Looking forward to your response,
Prof. Regis Nerva
If we're going to make the delivery, we'd need a destination to deliver it to.
Additionally, since you are planning on modifying the Vergil infrastructure I would like you to be advised on the terms of use.
Quote:
Vergil hardware (original nanite-bacteria hybrids, commonly known as Nodes) design is and will be open and free to use. All schematics, specifications, diagrams, designs etc. are public and may be accessed, used, modified and manufactured by anyone, commercially or otherwise. Any derivations based on the Vergil hardware design will be subject to these terms as well.
The Vergil kernel (original system software powering Vergil Nodes) is and will be open and free to use. Source code of the software is public and may be accessed, used and modified by anyone, commercially or otherwise. Any derivations based on the Vergil kernel source code will be subject to these terms as well.
The Vergil operating system (a modification of the nexOS free operating system) is bound by the license of nexOS (which is effectively the same as the point above).
Any original Vergil user software is not bound by any license and may be distributed however the author pleases.
Authors of any part of the Vergil project retain their copyright.

Ms. Fairchild,
Reading those terms of use is exactly why I told mentioned that I intend on modifying it. Do not fret, I read them and I accept them.
Regarding delivery, I could come after them, or you could leave them at Corinth station.
Also, I will be needing an account and the amount of credits I have to wire to that account.
Looking forward to your response,
Prof. Regis Nerva
