To whichever of the bounty claims reads this,
The Zoner Militia is hardly representative of the zoners as whole. If you had two braincells to rub together you'd have realized that by now. But I digress. For people so dead set on surviving, you put a great deal of effort into ensuring you don't.
To: The Forlorn Hope. From: Sascha Lattke, der Alster Union, leader of the Pacifica Cell and de-jure commander of the Chort's Forge cell blue collar insurgency in Hudson, Texas, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, Bering. Subject: Poetics.
Our conflict with you is irrelevant. You perpetually overstate your value to us, the threat you present, and the importance of the ships you have downed. You are generally regarded in the Unioners as a nuisance and it remains baffling to us why you accept the coin of corruption whilst simultaneously courting terroristic groups far more threatening to society than the Unioners could ever possibly achieve, in part because you seem to revel in the idea that you enjoy shooting our arbeiters down for personal financial benefit. Our only conclusion is that you are simultaneously grotesquely overconfident, disarranged from reality. To the point where we refuse to scramble forces upon your occurrence. You are but one flea and your destruction serves no Unioner objective. You seem to believe masturbating over the dead enervates your position within the cosmos. Thousands of Unioners die or are imprisoned daily. You are a rounding error.
You are essentially a scattered group of contract killers whose only objective is money. As you are in no way based within Bering we question why you are privy to this communication.
These Militia fight for what they consider to be their old homes; a cause worthy of respect. The Forlorn have no agenda, other than squirrelling away more money for prostitutes, drugs, or whatever else mercenaries use to provide meaning to their irreverent, irrelevant, System-unimpacting lives.
You are a self-absorbed jock-type who applies far too much hairgell and wears armour to communications. Tell me, does it get you head upon Barrier Gate?
In addition, we have chosen nothing. We have thrice offered you currency to look the other way. Meanwhile you fraternize with the enemy. The infected. The globalists. This is apparently quite personal to you for you to throw humanity at large under the trade lane for the sake of a few credits, GI Joe.
In solidarity, in peace, I remain yours.
Sascha Lattke
Cell-Lord, Chort's Forge, Westphalia.

THE SYNDIC LEAGUES
(A co-operative of Rheinland's Shipping Unions, retired from a life of piracy.)
You are getting pretty much something you have asked for. The remnants of disbanded Confederation of Freeports have already turned you down. Should you, your personel or your symphatisers cross the permitted line - and i will gladly process your liberation from your misery. None of us will hesitate to respond appropriately to your attempts to cause internal chaos and destabilise the state of affairs in Bering.

FOR LIBERTY!
Peace, being the distant dream it is, comes inevitably, and goes hand in hand with justice.
Cursed be the war.
Really, pirates of every sort and kind, sparatistes of different systems, think you that the border governments are going to let you kill quietly their traders?
They exhausted their credits in a vain war between liberty and rheinland, they do not want neither of them of this system stamp. It is a war source, but it is finished now.
Therefore of course, they are going to take care together of the problem which you represent! All dreams are allowed, but this one, you should not dream. They do not dream.
Perhaps it is a chance for you to enter into an agreement with Zoners.

Interested parties:
We have allowed for more than 7 days to pass since we arrived in Bering and began assessing the situation. We have concluded that at this time we are still in great need of further support from other Zoner populations.
Allow us to formally state, as of now, we have no hostile intentions towards any group operating in Bering. But we do treat the lack of any attempt to transfer over command of Freeport 2 to the Tarrfal's leadership as a disappointment, and a sign that our help may be needed in the long term.
Therefore we will be staying in Bering to support Tarrafal, and await any decision to be made. We do believe though that negotiations ought to take place involving the Separatists of Battlegroup Harmony, who have claimed control of the station, and the various Zoners now arriving in Bering. We will refrain from any military action during discussion, and will only act in defense of the Tarrafal at this time.
We do reserve the right to fly within the Bering system, and recruit other Zoner vessels to our fleet. As such, we volunteer to host negotiations. One of our officers did have a productive discourse with several Separatist supporters, and one of their officers. They seemed open to discussing terms for peaceful transition, and we are open to such talk before any further actions are taken.
For the meantime, the ZM will maintain a presence within the Bering system and continue to build a network of allied Zoner vessels who wish to support the Tarrafal, and Zoner resettlement of Freeport 2. We have instructed our supporters to not approach Unioner or Rogue bases within the system, and hope that we will not be interfered with during talks. Should the Tarrafal change stance, we will adhere to their decision.
We do acknowledge that there are some "lone wolf" individuals that are using the crisis to attempt indiscriminate piracy. They may be dealt with on individual basis as local parties see fit, and we bear no responsibility for any militant Zoners not bearing the ZM| mark.
Those Zoners out there still hoping to help, your presence makes the Zoner negotiating stance all the more affirmed. Please bring any assistance you can muster to Bering where we can organize ourselves together, and not launch uncoordinated attacks on potentially innocent civilians.
A representative from the ZM will open a transmission to allow for negotiations within 24 hours.
We've had reports of Zoner militants opening fire on one of our craft, despite the fact that we're in the Bering theatre with the sole aim of de-stabilizing those misguided children in control of the Freeport and their kraut masters, along with blowing up any transports supplying those aforementioned coat hanger dodgers.
We wonder, does your group share in this ignorance? While we'd like Zoners back in control of the Freeport so it can truly match its name rather than being a rats nest in its current state, we're happy to add another target to our list.

I will be brief. Shortly after the takeover of Freeport 2 by whoever, I was allowed to evacuate the medical crews that were stationed there . I was in no way threatened and in the exit briefs of my crews they spoke of good treatment by the Rogues and Unioners on station. I find that admirable considering two of the three people I had there were females.
I would offer to return them but since it seems that violence will be used to settle this, I will not. I've lost enough medical crews on Freeport 11 alone because of difference not too mention elsewhere in Sirius. I have been witness to the failure of any and every Zoner attempt at a defense force. I see this ending the same way. I would urge people to sit down and talk because as it stands, I will be returning to clean up the mess. Perhaps if some of you had to tell the families of the fallen what happened to their loved ones, you might see things differently.

Doctor Holliday,
We appreciate your concern and advise. We've taken into consideration that no single violent takeover caused Freeport 2 to change hands. Yet, we must also wonder if the parties that did facilitate the station's operations after the last Zoners left intended to permanently claim the station as their own. The Freeport there has been a home for Zoners for centuries. Is it not time for them to hand it back over to Zoners? If they are willing to use violence to hold their stance, should we just let it go?
The answer is; perhaps. To us, this crisis underscores the need for pre-emptive action. If a Zoner defense group like the Zoner Militia had been around in years prior, its possible this sad situation would never have materialized.
Our vessels are under orders to hold off on offensive actions. We will not attempt to take the station by force, save for some grand provocation by Separatists or Unioners, should they attack Zoner settlers bound to return to the station. As of now, we won't support such an action until a detailed negotiation takes place. We would of course, appreciate any humanitarian support from Med Force Enterprises. Should the Tarrafal be attacked, we will certainly use all force available to us to defend them. If fighting breaks out, we could use some Zoner support instead of being left to the wayside on our own. We are not an invasion force, only a means to help Zoners that do need to fight, which does happen from time to time.
@ Xeno Alliance,
There may be lone wolf militants using the crisis to get away with crime. Or, they may simply be radicalized and hostile over the situation. We disavow any of those actions. Although we reserve the right to defend ourselves and eventually Freeport 2 (should it be returned to Zoners), we do not intend to become any more involved in local conflicts than Zoners usually are. That means returning to a strictly neutral stance towards all factions operating in the Liberty/Rheinland border systems after a resolution has been made. We have no intention to pursue hostilities against the Xenos, as it seems we would have no motive to do so. Aside from lone wolves, the ZM| would only engage in such actions if part of a blockade of the Freeport, which would be officially announced prior to implementation, and only as a last resort should Tarrafal choose such an avenue.
@Alster Union,
Your vessels seem determined that we are a threat, yet you have taken more than one action of unprovoked violence against us and our supporters. Despite your provocations, we will not take hostile actions against you, but we will defend ourselves, as we did today. We have made it clear we wish to gather and observe. We can assure you, if the issue deadlocks, and you insist on attacking Zoners, you'll get the fight you desire.
@ Battlegroup Harmony,
Later than hoped, an officer will be making contact shortly to foster further discussion.
