From my days in Liberty the Separatists were a commonly recognized nuisance basing themselves out of some Freeport in Bering, the local region is heavily fortified both by literal chunks of rock and with well placed turrets, making direct assaults by snubcraft rather suicidal, not that I haven't been able to manage if required. Their motivations seem to be preserving the Integrity of Liberty as a state by combatting any perceived infestations within its ranks, regardless of office or department, as admirable as that might be both their motivations and methods are exceptionally flawed, highly inefficient and their stance as a whole entirely redundant.
As much as I might enjoy the little civil war currently afoot, neither the Separatists nor the Republic are fighting each other over valid claims, having worked for the Republic and been subject to slightly invasive scans myself I can say with certainty that even if there might have been an infestation, it's certainly no longer a factor, I predict that if a single mediation session could be arranged between the rebels and the Republic by the Order, we'd see this entire conflict go down the drain and cease entirely, but we don't want that do we? Therefore my next best alternative is enticing them into seeing things our way and giving them a taste of what we have to offer, after that I'm sure both we and the Lane Hackers would be sufficiently capable of leveraging the misguided rebels into doing whatever it is we require them to do, I predict little resistance if we succeed in this venture as any attempts to abandon our dust would be hard fought and exceptionally painful.
As for Miss Linford, don't flatter her, she's not my type, but she's a ranked official with clout and perhaps attractive from.. certain angles if not others. I'll see what I can get out of her regarding her friends in Bering, failing this I can look into it more directly or through the use of our Libertonian friends.
I'm sure you've heard, but Operation Cathedral was a roaring success for us. I was sure to make myself present in both my sabotage focused crafts, providing aid in the form of communications jamming and electronic support for our allied weapons systems. I told the Crayterians this was only going to end one way, whether it be optimism or naivety, they tried to believe otherwise.
Without an active combat front occupying the entirety of my platter anymore, I'm free to be put to work wherever else you need me. I'll be looking into getting some much needed fighter orientation and perhaps flying a Rapier into future conflicts, as sophisticated as the Vindicator is, sometimes there's just no real supplement for good force. Makes me almost miss that rickety Guardian I used to fly.
Of course I've heard. I was required to lend all the people I had in the area to punish their mistake.
In the end it appears like that was well worth it. Those Crayter people are more than just a small nuissance to our operations. Though someone else will handle further pushing back of them.
I believe you've investigated those Navy people in Bering. While they might not be entirely relevant to us, if they keep the Navy busy and away from our convoys that gives them some value. Though our lack of intel about them is quite surprising considering the Hackers presence in the area.
No matter though. Get that Rapier, for direct combat it's far better, the Hackers can pretend all they want.
I need know what Crayter will do to compensate for this loss. But currently there's also surprisingly high traffic in Omicron Delta. If it's a threat or something else entirely is currently unknown.
So give me what you got on the Separatists and... be on your way.
I believe I already told you all that I know about the Separatist, or at least the knowledge I'd acquired during the tenure of my previous career. They're an.. insurgency, let's call them that. Aimed at erasing all traces of perceived infection from Liberty and its Armed Forces through apparently whatever means they deem necessary. They're a horribly misguided and naive people, but nothing if not resourceful, given that they haven't been slaughtered by the Republic's sheer numbers as of yet.
They're a potential asset, and I've already managed to successfully influence one of their officers into.. acquiring a new perspective on life. More specifically an orange one. As for tactical information, the Separatists largely wage a guerrilla war, not having the fleet assets to go toe-to-toe with the Republic, at least not without the coordination of the Lane Hackers and the cannon-fodder of the Rogues. If we could continue to influence them into using cardamine to supplement their low numbers, we might be able to rope them into our existing partnerships within Liberty. The flagship of the Separatists is ironically dubbed the Harmony, from what I've heard it's a particularly angst fueled rendition of your typical Overlord, red and black galore.
My personal assessment of the Separatists is that yes, they have a scope for utility in securing our own convoys. We might even be able to turn them into a secondary market of sorts. But we'd need to put in place 'checks' to secure ourselves against a potential ideological love-fest. Nothing I hate more than the verbally righteous.
If the perspective I've provided is sufficient, I'll move on to scoping out the situation in Omicron Delta and keeping my ear to the wall for anything I can find out about the Crayter's next moves. Though I doubt they'll be so quick in trying to reclaim lost ground, especially when the loss had been this costly. As a former officer, I'd assume their best bet at this point in time would be to consolidate forces and prevent a follow-up attack further behind their own lines, but that's just my intuition talking, it doesn't account for ineptitude.
I never liked Bretonia. A dull and dreary House with such a concentrated amount of smog that it may as well replace the air they breathe. You can trust me to act professionally, but I have no sympathy for a House that doesn't even honour friends of mine that died defending it. I'll be as helpful to the Kingdom and its forces as I possibly can be.
I'd heard something regarding Omega-3, particularly Aland but it's a mass of unverified claims. I'll do some digging with the locals, probably the best people to start with. I'll also try looking into the warship, but with how much that detail already confuses me I doubt I'll find out anything that makes sense.
I've relocated to Cape Wrath. I'd rather not deal with having to live among Bretonians if I can help it. I'll keep you updated with everything I find out as always. If that will be all, I'll get back to you in a few days.
