He didn't think she actually meant it when she said this was too fast, because she felt the need to reaffirm it with him. He concluded that she was just nervous about the fact that them being together like this felt too nice in too short of a time-span and that maybe a space was required. "Kira, it's alright. This isn't something I do either.. it's a little awkward for me to be getting involved given what I do. I trust you and I don't feel like anything we're doing right now is rushed. Neither of us are going to do anything we don't want to. I understand."
He did his best to show he meant it, wondering when her break would end and she'd be needed back at work. He should let her go, but the thought of doing that caused a nagging sensation of anxiety and regret. He didn't want her to go, at least he felt that way. "Do you need to go?"
His tone had softened, mainly because he didn't like the idea of her leaving, at least not from what his feelings were currently conveying. His eyes hadn't moved away from her, there wasn't a need to look at anything or anyone else.

And now the voice was also unbearable. The softness of how he spoke ringed in her ears, and she could swear if he ever whispered in her ear, she would swoon. "I know... I am the same, Lukas."
But she didn't wanted to leave as well. Her mind and her heart were firing in different directions, reality versus dreams. She had to go. And so she decided what many women do to make sure the man understands and comes back for more.
She rose her hand, in a slowly, careful manner and touched his left cheek. And his face just pressed against her hand, like it was the caress he had been waiting for a long time. He closed his eyes, content. And she took her chance.
At first, his dry lips were surprising smooth, which only made her wanting more. As a thirsty woman yearning for water, she didn't let go and to make the matter more serious, neither would we has he embraced her and lift her up like she was weightless. Long seconds afterward, their lungs ached for air and release and finally she was put down. In the last moment before their lips became apart, she bit his lower lip. Like the hungry woman she was. An old cretan custom between lovers. To tell others that he was owned. Taken. In love. A favor he returned back, albeit afraid to hurt her.
He released her due to the pain and she looked at his aching face, touching his lip. She caressed his face again and started to run towards the exit of the bay. Reaching the automated door, they opened and she turned and shouted, with a full smile on her lips.
"Auf wiedersehen, Kira." Were the words he chose to meet her with as she called out to him from the doorway, he was going to see her again, this was far from over and that much was clear to him. His heart was racing and it wasn't from the thrill of a fight, it was from their little exchange just now.
Just as the door shut, he let himself fall backwards a little, leaning against his ship, taking a deep sigh and then a long breath. He'd turn his lips inward after a brief moment to remind himself of what he just enjoyed. Once he felt he'd calmed, he unlocked his ship and hopped into the pilot's seat, setting a course for New Moscow. He could still feel the buzz in his gut, he wasn't sure that was going to leave him so easily.
