In the recent months there has been a rather big confusion about the identifiers Order use. Some use OCV, some use CV, however, civilian vessels also use CV. Why is order using CV in some instances? And what do the letters stand for in their case? Combat vessel? Capital vessel?

CV being Capital Vessel is probably the most known one, I don't really see people using it to define a ship as a Civilian vessel, barring some of your ships.
Order| don't need to use the O in their tag because that's redundant.
It's Order Capital Vessel / O.C.V. and this is canonically used by Order| and Black Squadron before it.
O in OCV since forever is supplanted by Order| tag in official faction, creating Order|CV- tag.
Okay, so I was correct in the assumption that the CV-gang out there that claimed CV- to be the order identifier was wrong. One of them got angry at me for me using CV- on my civilian ships (and hell, the Hoffnungsschimmer Unique Corvo uses it as well) and a certain person in the BAF was assuming all CV- identified ships are Order capital ships.
