Greetings to you, esteemed Allies
It has come to my attention, that on the twenty eighth of June, one of your ships (The Zephyr class carrier CR-RV-Athena) was spotted by a member of the secondary fleet. In accordance with Article four subsection seven of the Bretonian charter of interstellar law, the vessel was ejected from Bretonian Space, so that's that.
However I do find it odd that the Crayterian fleet does not have permission to enter Bretonia, I'm sure there must have been some sort of diplomatic/bureaucratic hiccup somewhere along the line. Could you please clarify for me whether or not your ships do have access to Bretonian space, that way we might be able to avoid any further hiccups in future.
As far as I am aware, the prewar interactions with the Kingdom did not necessitate moving ships larger than cargo transports. Despite a rather feverish effort by my staff, no special arrangement that would permit operational military access could be found.
I suspect, that nobody really bothered with the finer points of legalism while battles were (and still are) being fought in Leeds, assuming everything was in order and welcoming any friendly support.
Which is why I would like to take this opportunity to address this glaring issue, politely requesting, that our Fleet vessels be henceforth allowed the following:
Firstly: Free transit of Fleet vessels of any size through Bretonian space for the purpose of allied combat operations, reinforcement, logistics, search/rescue and so on and so forth - so that we both can avoid misunderstandings in the future, despite being de-facto allies.
Secondly: Permission to possess and use warpspace jump technology. Out Fleet is not quite as large as that of an established House, therefore it is practicable to equip most of it with jump technology. Such equipment allows us to respond to situations just about anywhere within minutes. I am sure you can see the potential benefit of that to your own Armed Forces.
With that in mind, we have no wish to intrude or abuse your good faith. Our ships and crews will abide by the local laws as well as command stucture, submitting to Bretonian military authority for the duration of combat operations conducted jointly in Bretonian space.
