Tbh, that system is pure frontline, when we started as SCEC play our RP we had constant fights with sairs. All that goes down mostly because players aknow about system would gone, and no much sense play RP claims.
Small loreside notices - there no Kruger and Planetform. Sairs, Hessians, Coalition and goddam even IMG more than for sure would kick any house corps out of Cayman. SCRA not tries annex it. They already annexed it.
Anyway many factions ALREADY had RP there. Just when news about its gone spreaded, sides decided switch their plans on another claims.
Why not build a base of thy own there, do thy research on price options for commodities, and make it profitable for black market traders to WANT to go there?
Largely because thanks to Xoria's precious economy formula, it's really difficult to make a base profitable on anything but ore and equipment factories. Basically the only way to make a POB theoretically profitable for normal commodities is as a depot supporting the freighter-exclusive sell points, such as the one in Leeds.
Because there warfront(idk gods, why there all forget that system have Coalition and Sairs base, jump holes which leads in Omicron Omega, O-49 and O-47). Zoners or Freelancers can try of course make the base, but there begin play another important factor - PoB logistic for industry is CRAP in case of Cayman. Literally. Even without profits and everything else, there just very unsuitable logistic. Absolutely no sense make something. Low omega-omicrons route dead for trade and used only for war mostly.

I can't say I'm a fan of the idea of Coalition getting to simply annex a system with no contesting or roleplay from other local groups. It feels very artificial.
It also isn't what happened at all. They possess one base there, as do the Corsairs, with the Corsairs having a shipyard. While that'll all be gone soon I think we should definitely be clear that it does not count as annexation when your enemies have one of the largest bases in the system.
Oh, i meant about planet, where that resources. Because there goes fantastically ideas, one better another, even about house corporations here.
Also, contest was, that system damn there not from yesterday, SCRA/Sairs fights was frequent one time. Just then peoples got informations - that would gone, and everybody switched their efforts in another deals.
RP was too, considering SCRA had very nice gambit plans about it, i think Sairs had their own too, even without ApS.
Right now there like local sairs, were in charge for that sector(ApS) gone on another side (and damn it was veeery unpredicted for us, i swear that was really interesting see not cybered plot-twist), and SCRA again get support from RHA through O-47.
Yes it contested, but o-49 -> O-47 way can be considered mostly under Triumvirate control.
So people are talking about there being no trade routes there and it's a system that doesn't do anything. I raise this.
Helium and Vodka.
There is a Trade route going from Pennsylvania- The starting system in the game, to this station. By hauling Helium to Manatum Relief Station you net around 7K a pop. Then you jump to O-49 and land on Gran Canaria and pick up the Vodka (I think you *might* be able to pick it up in Shadow Haven if you have SCRA rep but since you're going through Liberty I doubt that.) And haul it to Planet Erie. Then recycle the run. Is it the most profitable? Not really. But it's pretty fast, aside from going from the O-49 JH to Manatum.
Encourages use of Emlenton (Since that's the best spot to mine and pick up Helium.)
It's pretty safe all things considered (Though if Pirates know this route maybe not as much now.
And it's not H-3 hauling. (Which takes longer to fill a Kanome with then a Hedgemon filling up on Helium)
Hell that route is how I fund a lot of my crud. Cayman has it's uses. But it could be done better

Pfff, I said 'make traders go there', not earn money for thyself. This means thee establish a base as a money sink, but th'will be contributing to player activity.
