Gallia itself is a reason to avoid it. It's not meant to be a core house for everybody to walk through all sunshine and happiness, it's an invasion force from outside of Sirius hellbent on exacting revenge that's 800 years in the making. Of course its border systems within Sirius aren't going to feel Gallic, because Gallia didn't exist there prior to 5(?) ingame years ago. The Gallic borderworlds on the other hand, the ones beyond the Taus, they do feel Gallic because they bordered Gallia from the beginning.
And those 5 entrances should feel like a gift from god, because it used to only be 2
