Osiris (light BS)
Nomad BSes (medium and heavy variants)
On occasion, the Core has to deal with the Outcasts, who have medium and heavy BS variants.
On a blue moon, you might run into a Legate or a sociopathic Nephilim captain, both factions having heavy BSes.
So the Mako being a light BS is balanced how? Or is there some other determining factor I'm not privy to?
For comparison, the Deimos has a powercore comparable to it's main nemeses, the Outcasts and Gallia.
The Sarissa is a light, not a medium battleship, and the Corsairs have a light battleship as well.
That's three light battleships, one medium, and two heavies.
How is that unbalanced, exactly?
Furthermore, what a ship faces really does not determine the size of its powercore. With differing tactics, heavy battleships are capable of beating lights, and lights capable of beating heavies. The size and shape of a ship are what make it's powercore a light or heavy one.

Compared to Order, Core is frequently matched up with with all the factions in the Edge Worlds. I'd wager that personally I've shot at Corsairs more often than Order. I've shot at Outcasts more recently than Order. The one thing we haven't shoot in a while is Hessian caps. For a while, Nephs were our bread and butter, but other than dealing with them wjen they're farming remains, we don't shoot them.
Honestly, the Mako is by no means a bad ship and doesn't really need changes. It's just not accessible for indies, hence why I wanted a second heavy battleship. But if not that, something needs to change because the Mako isn't noob friendly. Indies are just getting destroyed by heavier caps every time, and so they just stop flying. I feel that's the problem with the Core line, it's good but just difficult to play.
