"Plotting course to the planet, engaging cruise speed. We shall remain in the cloud as far as it can take us.
You know.. I kinda like this ice. It looks like frozen water in a way..."
The ships reformed formation and headed for planet Gaia.
Did she just...? "Ehh.. uhm.. hai, let us remain in the cloud as long as we can.. and ehm..." Did Meg just really? Mi had no idea how to react on this words.. that was just.. weird? But somehow amusing too.
"Normally ice is just ice, but this ice looks like it is alive somehow. Maybe its close proximity to Gaia makes it more similar to water than normal ice. It might even be colder. Perhaps as we travel closer to the planet it might even change color slightly. Do you think we should take samples to compare it to the ice of Kusari? Maybe we can determine what this ice is composed of. Perhaps we can reverse engineer this to make ice out of regular water."
Snake stops the engines and starts collecting some of the ice samples.
Mi sighed. No way. Is she really thinking about ice types now? "Uhm, Meg.. hurry up, hai? I mean, all nice and cool.. but I don't want to stay around here for longer than really needed. Get that ice, maybe I put something into a drink later if it's not poisonous or something.. but.. can we like goooo?" She really didn't feel comfortable, hopefully Meg's sudden idea wasn't going to make them end up detected by some people...
"Relax, there is nothing on my scanners yet and I have superiour scanner technology, the Jintsuriki.
If there is anything in the area, I will detect it first."
The two cruise through the ice crystals of the Arran cloud.
Mi sighed again.. "S-Sorry.. I am just nervous. But hai, that Kishiro thing is quite nice from what I heard. Probably nothing compa- ah, like it matters. Let's carry on, hai? I cannot wait anymore.. it must be so beautiful there!" Mi quickly followed Meg, flying a few moments manually before switching back into the formation flight.
Megaera looks at her with a questioning expression before turning back to her computer.
"Yes Gaia looks quite nice. It is one of the few planets undefiled by human touch.
I would have gone alone, but you have have shown yourself worthy to be my companion in this endeavour.
Unlike most planets, the gods themselves sculpted this planet, and as such, humans should not corrupt it."
Mi felt a little proud. Despite the odd comment or speech here and there, Meg was really nice and she was happy to be part of this adventure. "That Kishiro thing is your Scanner. It's their new stupidly expensive version.. Anyway, hai, Gaia is so pure. I am glad I can tag along. It will be wonderful, I am sure."
"Oh, I actually bought it on a Lane Hacker base once. I had no idea Kishiro designed it.
Yes, it did set me back... 250mil credits? I do not even remember that clearly.
It does come in handy. Usually I detect enemies before they can detect me, useful for scouting ahead."
She smirked.
"I do like your company. Usually I do these kinds of things alone."
"Now I am not even sure anymore if you really have Kishiro technology or Lane Hacker stuff.. oh well.. it is definetly useful anyways." She laughed. "And hai, I usually go roam around myself too.. get in trouble, get out again.. and so on. But I guess this will be much more fun."
