The Invincible is an aged Liberty Dreadnought designed, developed and constructed by the Liberty Military for the Bretonian Armed Forces as a symbol of the ever-present alliance between the two houses. Built at Washington Shipyard, her design blueprints are that of a modified and semi-outdated 'Pueblo'-class battleship that never made it to the light of day, and features a fairly strong armor configuration and targeting array, at the sacrifice of some of her weapons systems and crew accommodations. Much of the ship's hull was scrapped from failed attempts at surpassing the venerable 'Overlord'-class, as well as wreckage from the disabled Texas and Arizona, both of which were destroyed in Alaska during the Nomad Conflict.
In addition to the features above, she was slated to be staffed with an underwhelming crew of 850, as opposed to the typical 1075 of a typical Liberty Dreadnought. The lack of appropriate crew accommodations for a ship of her size was grounds for the inclusion of a robust VI operator, one that would see to the control of most of the ship's redundant systems and allow what reduced staff she had the ability to command the ship with relative ease.
Officially completed on the 4th of August, 813 A.S. and christened on the 16th of the same month by the Lady Marlborough, she was inducted into the Bretonian Armed Forces as the first and only 'Invincible'-class Liberty Dreadnought in the service. To keep her separated from the already present 'Invincible'-class Carriers, she was marked with the hull designation BBS-488x01, her class officially marked with the 'Liberty Dreadnought' designation. This didn't stop officers from confusing her with her larger, fleet-focused bretheren, but eventually most saw the ship as simply a slimmer, more tuned counterpart to their already familiar 'Dunkirk'-class design.
Invincible was stationed after induction in Leeds as part of the 7th Defense Fleet, organizing patrols and keeping watch at her posting near Stokes Smelter. Two years of dedicated service to the crown followed before she was called back to Liberty in the wake of the attack on Fort Bush, brought back and quickly inducted into the Navy as L.N.S. Invincible, LBS-846. From then onwards she'd serve the Navy to the same distinction, her crew brought over from the Armed Forces as per the terms of agreement that brought her back to Liberty.
For 9 solid years, Invincible oversaw the war's combat, the signing of the treaty and the explosion of the war with Gallia. As she took up arms, the notion of the ship's colored demographics was slowly recognized by the Navy's board, most notably the Fourth Fleet where she'd been assigned. A wave of officers and men from across Liberty, both native and foreign-born, some even from Gallia, surged to the Navy in a fest of nationalism, Invincible being the prime candidate for these officers and enlisted personnel, eventually garnering her the nickname 'The Ship of a Million Flags'. No nationality was left untouched, left aside from the demographics of the ship's crew. Every house, main and otherwise, had some representation aboard Invincible, incentivizing a sort of respect from others.
Though her crew may state otherwise, there's no finer example of a common view in all of Sirius.
