Goodday, Junkers
Given all the trouble that's been brewing in Bering recently, I'm in the process of shifting my workshop from a space-borne installation to an appropriate ship so that I'm not tied to this one area, and as such, I'm needing somewhere to store my equipment and tools till I can acquire a ship that'll be able to act as a mobile workshop. That said, I've started the process of packing it all down already, and I was wondering if there's any available storage space on any of your properties near Bering, and how much it'll cost to rent it out, till the aforementioned ship is sorted.
I'm Sandra Carter - one've the Directors fer the Junker's Congress. I sure don' fault'cha one lil' bit fer wantin'ta secure yer valuables while things in Bering're hotter than usual.
If'n yer lookin' fer somethin' nearby'ta store some things, Puerto Rico's a right nice place fer that. Safe, too! No one's bothered us out here since the conflict in Bering broke out. We've got a modular installation that we use fer a trade hub called the Junker's Town. Then we've also got Vieques Shipyard if 'ya need a place'ta store a ship, and lastly there's also plenty've space in Culebra Smelter's rental storage units.
Before I get ahead've myself, what exactly do 'ya need'ta store? I'cn make a better recommendation based on the things that yer lookin'ta tuck away.
Also, dependin' on what'cher lookin' fer in a ship, the Congress might be able'ta help 'ya with that, too! Y'need somethin' around gunboat size, or, somethin' bigger, or smaller?
Lastly - How long do 'ya need 'ta store what'cher fixin'ta stow away? Once we know what'cha need stored fer how long, we'cn reckon up a price tag fer 'ya.

Pleasure to hear from you, Sandra
For the most part the equipment I'm looking to store is fairly standard machining equipment- drill-presses, lathes, sand-belts and the like, as well as a variety of other hand-tools and other pieces for electrical wiring and jerry-rigging. There's also some energy field stabilizers and munition presses, like you can probably already find on your stations producing weaponry for your fighters, although likely scaled up a fair bit and highly automatized. Then there's a few custom tools and machines I've had to put together myself, but those are a bit of a trade secret lets say. All in all, once packed up, it should only take up a few score cubic meters. Time-wise, I think a month should be plenty of time, maybe 2.
Now, the main features I'm looking for in a new ship are that it needs to be about as self-sufficient as possible, and capable of housing all my machinery unpacked and ready to operate. Now, that'll likely need a ship with a pretty spacious cargo hold that can be converted, and made habitable if its not already. Working in s spacesuit ain't exactly feasible with all the fine details I gotta work on, and I don't want a fumble to end up blasting my fingers off. Fortunately, business has been good recently, and thanks to a now defunct mercenary group, I have the credits to spare for a project like this.
Well, by the sound've things, ya've got a right good mess've things 'ta tuck away! I'm thinkin' Culebra Smelter might be the right place'ta put it all.
Luckily, there ain't been too many other folks wantin'ta store with us, so the rates right now are pretty decent. 500,000 credits a month fer storage should take care've things.
As fer the ship, I reckon 'ya really will need some right decent tonnage capacity, what with all the tools and craftin' materials ya've got. Lemme' go ahead an' see what we've got hitched in Puerto Rico an' the surroundin' area - I'll get back'ta 'ya on that once I find somethin' close'ta what'cher lookin' fer, Tawrn.
I've got a specific hull-class in mind, but before I get ahead've myself again, I wanna double-check'ta see what's on tap.
We'll speak again in.. Roughly maybe 12 hours or so; should only take me a little time checkin' some've our inventory firs' thing in the mornin'.
Sorry fer the delay; it took me a bit longer than I anticipated, though.
So, I took what'cha were lookin' fer'ta heart - Somethin' self-sufficient and extremely spacious. Well, there ain't too many vessels that fit that job description from the current-day market. But...
Sometimes, newer don' necessarily mean better, an' some vessels seem'ta survive the test've time, even after centuries of bein' drafted an' devised.
The Congress' got a bit've an oldie but a goodie on our hands - One've them ol' TTR-1130 Model Exploratory Liners. She ain't much've a looker, but with salvagin' arms; external excess fuel storage tanks with re-fueling arm; communication antennae; lots've internal room; plus a dockin' bay fer a scout freighter, she don' get much more self-sufficient than this. It turns out we found the thing a bit recently, so we haven't had the chance'ta make use've it, ourselves.
Now fer the bad news: The engines are pretty banged up from what seems'ta be centuries've re-buildin' the engine with make-shift materials each time it died out. We'cn fix'er up right nicely of course - manifolds (melted down scrap metal) make fer a cheap, relatively effective buildin' material. Since we've gotta work on the engine anyways, we might be able'ta tweak the Fuel Injection system a bit.
Would'ja like us'ta jus' stick with the ol' design, or go with an Edge World, or Kusarian Fuel Injection system? The Edge World design's easier'ta maintain an' fairly fuel efficient, while a Kusarian Fuel Injector would be even more fuel efficient while bein' a bit harder'ta maintain (At least, fer us, anyways). Stickin'ta the original Fuel Injection System design would keep yer cost down, plus we'd be able'ta approve it fer flight a lot quicker (We'd still replace it with a new one, it'd jus' be one we happen'ta have on hand right-this-second).
If this here vessel's a good fit fer 'ya Tawrn, let us know what we'cn do about the engine an' we'll hop 'ta gettin'er space-worthy! Dependin' on what'cha choose'll affect the final price tag. I know 'ya said 'ya got the credits'ta spare, but I still like'ta offer multiple price-points'ta folks before they commit 'ta spendin' their hard-earned money.

Hello again, Sandra
The TTR-1130 Liner sounds excellent. The specifications sounds spot on, and the added docking space for a frieghter will be incredibly handy for meeting customers or some tricky salvaging.
I'm thinking, with those external fuel tanks, and with the efficiency of the Kusari Fuel Injector system, it'll be easier to repair my way out of a broken engine than an empty one. Unless I attach some fuel scoops.... *trails off into meaningless mumbling*
Oh, right, the ship. I'll take the Kusari Fuel Injector system on the engine, and after that I'll need to sort out how I'm setting up my machines in there... you dont happen to have a copy of the floor plans on hand, do you?
Oh and, I'll be around tomorrow to drop my stuff at Culebra Smelter and wite over the credits for this month.
Pardon the delays; my previous weekend was a hectic one, an' I had'ta take a breather from regular duties fer a few days.
The funds fer the firs' month's storage fee (500,000 credits) aboard Culebra can be forwarded 'ta the followin' Neural Net account: .:j:.Federal.Reserve
A fuel scoop ain't a bad idea! We'cn maybe fix a few've those onto the Pilgrim fer 'ya, or we'cn get'cha set up with a Combat Service Freighter outfitted with a scoop an' include it as part've the package as a fuel supplier an' small-time salvage vessel. As far's the engines are concerned, yer in luck - The Congress was plannin' on a convoy'ta sneak in'ta Kusari soon, so we ought'a be able to pick up the necessary engines and/or components while we're there. Hopefully, anyways.
Regardin' the floor plans, I'm sure we've got those lyin' around in our databanks. Once I'cn guarantee that, I'll also include a set've those in the total cost've this deal.
Before we proceed further with all've this though, I've got a question that's been gnawin' at me. Ya've told me yer name, Tawrn, but I think 'ya missed the part about who 'ya associate with.
Are 'ya more've an independent operator, or d'ya claim ties'ta one're more groups? Not that it matters much on a Junker level, since we're known'ta play nice with all sorts, but it's jus' somethin' I'd like'ta ask.
Y'don't have'ta tell; I'm jus' bein' nosey. 'Long as 'ya ain't a Xeno, I reckon yer fine.
Once that's all out've the way, lemme' know if'n yer interested in the C.S.F., an' which vessel(s) should be fitted with fuel scoops, then I'cn figure some numbers an' give 'ya a rundown on what'll cost'ya what.

Hello again, Sandra
The credits for the storage was sent.... what day is it today again.... uh two weeks ago. I'm sure someone's received it.
Afte that we can... oh, right yes. I mostly work for myself these days, testing out new designs, but I do still take comssions from customers to pay the bills. Quality materials arent exactky cheap to come by.
Perhaps we could replace one of the external fuel tanks on the Liner with the fuel scoop, Which should reduce the amount of piping needed. Your offer of a CSF is interesting- I may have a look at what they're like next time I'm at Culebra- I'll let you know then if it'll be better than the Voyager I've already got set up
Boy've I been busy 'ere lately! Sorry fer failin'ta check in before now, Tawrn. I've been havin'ta work on a few things at once, an' I did some scramblin' an' figurin' on how'ta get my hands on some Kusarian engine parts.
Thankfully, through some creativity - An' the realization that the Sigmas have some open-market parts available - I managed'ta cobble together somethin' mighty nice!
My own Bison-class Transport happened'ta have some Kusarian-grade engines on it, back from when I shipped independently fer Deep Space. So, I went ahead an' swapped my Bison's engines out an' rigged 'em onto the Pilgrim-class Liner we've been re-purposin' fer 'ya! Don' worry - My ol' Bison's still space worthy; I'd been thinkin' about installin' Bretonian-grade engines, so this was a happy excuse'ta make the switch.
Of course, a Pilgrim's a fair mighty bit bigger than a Bison. Thankfully, the number've engine ports on a Bison (Eight) is more than double've the Pilgrim (three). That helped me out some, since it gave me more parts'ta work with. I still had'ta re-build an' modify the engines'ta make sure they fit the Pilgrim right,'ve course, but the extra parts from the Sigma market really came in handy, here.
Thankfully, our very own Arbiter - Rick Tiltman - Happens'ta have a Shukensha that he likes'ta float 'round here an' there. I did some talkin'ta him, an' Rick really came through fer me; he let me run several in-depth, analytical scans on the Shukensha's engine system. I got some pretty nice three-dimensional pictures'ta work with, which helped me'ta further modify the Transport-class Kusarian engines, so they'd be able'ta push a vessel of the Pilgrim's size properly. The end product is somethin' I'm pret-ty proud of - I'd say it's a nice alternative'ta the showroom floor model!
I've run several in-shop tests've the custom-built engine system, as well as some runs 'round Puerto Rico. She's runnin' pretty smooth now, our Pilgrim! This's been a true chance'ta test my skills!
We had some floor plans fer a Pilgrim, by the way. They sometimes tend'ta be a bit diff'rent from ship'ta ship though, so I went ahead an' ran some three-dimensional scans've the whole vessel.
Regardin' the price've this deal, I reckon 120,000,000 credits ought'a leave us squared away. You'cn transfer that 'ta my account at .:j:.Sandra's.Bunkhouse .
Oh, an' I made sure'ta have a few've the rooms merged in'ta one big workspace-worthy shop, since 'ya mentioned that's the whole reason yer purchasin' this spacecraft in the firs' place!
Lemme' know if there's anything else'ta add, Tawrn. Otherwise, once the creds're transferred, I'll do a final inspection before havin'ya come on out 'ta Puerto Rico's Vieques Shipyard'ta pick it up!

Hello, Sandra
Sounds like you've done an excellent job patching up the liner, I'm sure the engines will work like a breeze. Converting the old engines from a bison was a smart idea. Did you have any luck with that fuel scoop idea? Either way, I've gone and sent those credits over- they should be in your account shortly.
I'm glad to hear you've stated on getting a workshop set-up, I've run pretty far behind on orders already. It should be nice and easy to move my stuff over from the storage bay and get right back to work, so you have my thanks.
Oh, and the CSF- I've settled in pretty nicely into my new Voyager, so I think I'll give it a pass for now.
