I almost have it cracked, almost and i'm so happy. I've been doing this for like 2 days and i finally found a solid tutorial, but there is still one problem. The screenshot below shows what happens, I launch discovery freelancer, that pops up, then it closes and does a windows 10 sound please help. Also the image was bigger than 0.5 Megabytes. so yea. Also, currently streaming, i'm waiting for a response so i can play quality content.
Now I know I'm not a forum admin, but please continue on your other post about not getting disco to work instead of opening new posts, it can get confusing for helpers if they don’t follow you previous history of issues
I did try to help, and I'm sure others can do the same
As far as windows 10, I can't help you there, I won’t touch windows 10, and I don’t know anything about it
You said the “image was bigger than 0.5 Megabytes” what image is that

- Go to Settings
- Go to Apps
- Go to (Right side) Programs and Features
- Go to Turn Windows Features on or off
- Activate .NET Framework 3.5 and Legacy Components
- Click on OK and Windows should download and install .NET Framework 3.5 and Directplay which are needed for Freelancer.
- Now use the Discovery launcher to start Freelancer
Here is a Video where a guy explains it again how to activate Directplay on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.
