Honestly, I don't know who thought that it was a good idea to split the Gallic map and give it its own sector, it is confusing to say the least. What I would suggest is to revert that change so that when a player opens the map he doesn't have to exit the Sirius sector and open the Gallic one, just so he can find Lyonnais or any other Gallic system. Simply put everything on one map like it used to be.

Thanks.
I strongly disagree with this. It only requires one click more, and it broke immersion to see Gallia just hanging there on the edge of the sector when it's meant to be an entirely different star cluster, albeit a smaller one. The gallic sector map is beautiful and I love how genuinely distant and alien it makes Gallia feel.
Some things are more important than brutal gameplay convenience. I also like having a less cluttered Sirius sector map to look at.
The Barrier also doesn't look like "The Barrier" if you put a ton of systems behind it, squashed up above Kusari and Outcast space.

It's horrendous for navigation. It's easy to say "oh it underlines how it's a different sector etc" until you actually fly a faction that travels between Gallia and the rest a lot, and have to realize it's impossible to create any proper nav routes. If anything, it encourages people even more to stay away from Gallia, when it really needs the activity.

Terrible idea, honestly. Please revert this.
I actually do all my power trading in and out of gallia.
The lanes, gates, and holes, do not move. It's not any different to what I'd usually do.
We keep indulging in this issue where we cut content that makes Discovery special because of frivolous annoyances till all the 'Discovery' is sucked out of the mod.

Everything was fine when the previous map was there, the navigation was much more user-friendly than it is now. The current one is awful, but I guess you have to spend more time in Gallia in order to realize that.
I don't know how you could possible argue that it "makes no difference" to click about four times as much to even get to a neighboring system to create a map. It's incredibly inconvenient to me as a veteran, and as a new player, I would be hopelessly lost. The newly-cleared section of the map isn't even filled by anything, it's just an added layer of inconvenience.
I am very familiar with the map of Gallia, more so than all but a small handful of players, and I still think this is a very poor design decision. As for those that are less familiar with Gallic stellography, well. I can only imagine they would doubt the very existence of the house, much less be able to find their way around the place.

To be honest with you, that would be neat.

This thing was implemented before guard and redundant systems started to be culled. Next to every possible navmap node was used in that corner of the navmap causing a tremendous mess with the system links. It's the same reason dead systems were moved to the lost sector.
