I have a ship with one of each...I randomly decided to give them a go...I have read about how they travel on a diagonal...supposedly dropping down while the ship flies forward...like real life aerial bombs do....sort of...
I figured this meant overflying large targets and firing..."Bombs away!" type of thing.....however it doesn't seem to work quite like that....
The blasts don't seem to track to the cursor....I've tried to adapt by using a tailfin as a sort of iron sight analogue, which gives slightly better results but I still can rarely hit anything as small as a freighter, say.....
I definitely feel that I'm like an ape using a microscope to hammer nails with here...the nails go in (sometimes) but this is clearly not how its meant to work...
Are there any tutorials or helpful pages on these weapons, the basics of their usage? Indeed any helpful input would be appreciated.
Space travel's in my blood and there ain't nothing I can do about it...
Long journeys wear me out......but.... I know... I can't live without it...

As said above, these bombs are not meant to take on anything smaller than a gunboat. They're alternatives to SNACs, and as such are suited to combat capital ships. Yes you can use the SNAC like a giant MR, these weapons you won't be able to. I would not recommend attempting to use the bombs against small targets. If you intend to fire on freighters and other small, maneuverable craft, I'd much rather advise a SNAC than a bomb. Ofcourse, I recommend a fighter for anything smaller than a gunboat.

Well...all in all so....I think I'll hang onto them and practise more with larger targets...up close and personal, type of thing...the ship I have them on is a SHF which is otherwise well equipped to take down assorted smallfry with its guns and turrets...so there's a certain survivability there to play about with...cool so...thank you both for the helpful input.
