From: Hunter Wolff, on assignment at Pacifica Base, Bering System To: Darius Marin, Director of Security, Zoners of Galileo Subject: The recent Union visit to Galileo Encryption: Heavy
Dear Mr. Marin:
You may not remember me, but my name is Hunter Wolff. I was one of the Alster Union fighter escort pilots that you encountered yesterday in Galileo, escorting a large Unioner battleship through your space during engine testing. You were very kind to us while we were there, despite our surprising arrival, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your courtesy.
I wish I could tell you that our travel home was without incident, but it was not. After you broke off due to your engine issues, the Maltese continued to harass the Admiral for quite some distance. Eventually we were interrupted by a Kusari battleship, however, and the Maltese were more interested in fighting with them than continuing their verbal sparring with the Admiral. It was colorful, to say the least. The trip home through Liberty was less eventful, thankfully, and we returned to our home in Bering safely.
I'm currently working on expanding my contacts throughout Sirius, and you seem like the type of man who would both have useful information and be interested in keeping the peace across Sirius. If you ever need anything of the Alster Union or me personally, do not hesitate to ask. I may not have much power, but I will do whatever I can to return the kindness you demonstrated on our unexpected visit to your home system.
Wishing you safe travels until we might speak again, Mr. Marin.

Greetings to you my friend......
I myself am pleased you are delighted with my hospitality and would like to extend the upmost gratitude of all my senior officers aboard Freeport 12.
Our main role as an operational facility is mostly manufacture of equipment and other sales of coded weapons.
We primarily manufacture cloaking devices which we sell all over Sirius and have made quite a profit from doing so.
We are quite a small operation at the moment but we have got enough operatives to safely gather all our trade supplies and also protect the base.
Allies are always welcome to us and I would like to extend to you that any time you are in galileo FREEPORT 12 will welcome your ships gladly and anytime you need docking space for multiple ships you only need to give our docking crew 30 mins notice to prepare.
We are very grateful for your offer for help at any time and I will extend my report to my CEO who has already stated his gratitude and thanks to you all.
So...... here’s to a good relationship and if you need any help from us anytime please contact us and we will endeavour to help if we can
Regards

Darius:
Unfortunately, we Alster Union members do not find ourselves on the far side of Liberty very often. I couldn't speak to the next time I might be in your neck of the woods. Passing through Liberty is very dangerous for us, and Kusari isn't much better, unfortunately.
I would be curious about any information you might be able to provide on two questions I'm currently investigating, however:
1. The Liberty Police are getting more aggressive in their investigation and movements into systems neighboring Liberty space. Have you experienced this in Galileo as well?
2. Do the Zoners have any information or data files regarding the Nomads that are considered open or public knowledge? If so, could you forward me a copy?
I'd be grateful for any information you have on either of these topics.

Greetings to you my friend......again
We must stop meeting like this ..... ha ha......
As to whether you will be visiting GALILEO again .......do not fret my friend i am sure that some day we will meet again or maybe even do some business dealings or just meet up for a chat.
About your 2 enquiries...
Your first question ....
We havent really noticed any big difference in any liberty navy activity as it is usually not that frequent ... there is going to be the obviously inquisitve navy pilot who might come to tale a look ......
Hope that answers that one...
NOW...... the documentation you are enquiring about ...... i am not so sure but if this document does exist i will probably find it in the zoner archives which is a very vast sort of library and it may take me a while to locate it if there is one....
So let me see if i can find out for you if it exists and i will be in touch in the near future my friend.
Regards

Darius:
A recent promotion has me in command of my own cruiser, and a bit more freedom to move about Sirius than I had before. Should your team in Galileo ever find a Unioner presence useful, I now have the authority to serve as one. Just let me know if we're ever needed. Hopefully, I will get to come enjoy your wonderful accommodations some time soon. I'm sure my crew would appreciate some R&R in a location where they won't get shot at.
My investigation into the Nomads continues to develop, and every source has a different opinion. Any updates on Zoner information regarding them that you can share? It is my experience that Zoners are the most tempered and realistic in their opinions and reactions to all things, so I believe any information you or your people possess on the Nomads and the threat they present is likely to be the least biased in existence.
I hope you and yours are doing well, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Darius Marin walks through the very damp rat infested and very dark corridors of the base that noone ever seems to visit anymore,These corridors were locked tight years ago and used as a storage facility for all the zoner arcives that could be retreived from vessels that had been damaged during combat as certain zoner vessels made their way through sirius on their hunt for new homes.
I open a very large very heavy door and look at the thousands of documents that I have to look through ….....uugghh...... I say in my mind......Lets do this
After 6 hours of hunting through the most important documents I could find …....Here it is.......
Information on nomads and also nomad technology......
My hunt is over.....Thank god................................................................................................*Sighs*
The Slomon K'Hara are a sapient, blue extraterrestrial race created as an experiment by the Daam K'Vosh Empire. Within Sirius, they are known to all save themselves as the Nomads.
The Slomon K'Hara date their civilization back at least thousands of years, and developed independently after their masters disappeared. While it is possible that other parts of the Daam K'Vosh Empire contain members of the Slomon K'Hara species, their current and only known habitat is that of the Sirius Sector.
They possess little inherent genetic code, apparently allowing easier symbiotic fusion with other species such as humans without the problems of a differing genetic pattern. This is commonly referred to as possession or infestation, as the Slomon K'Hara controls the body of the host, typically with little mental or physical independence on the part of the host.
Although many attempts to decipher the K'Hara's biological puzzle by Liberty and Order scientists have been made. Little information has been recovered on their genetic, physiological and organic structures.
What is known of Slomon K'Hara biology comes from countless encounters scans and engagements throughout sirius since before the war of 800 a.s.
The bodies of the ships while observed are a rigid crystalline composite that itself seems to be able to repair damage and flaws in its construction. Many energies seems to flow within and from without the structure and despite analysis of remains of nomad ships and artifacts the source of this energy is unknown. What is known is that the vessels propel themselves via this energy either through magnetic or gravitational forces around and inside the ship.
Nomad ships have advanced tractor beaming technology that also seem to affect matter into energy and vice versa when carrying objects or cargo.
Other forms of Nomads such as incubi or hybrids exhibit silicon organ/nervous systems that can blend seamlessly into a host or shapeshift or even exhibit invisibility
By way of Oracle materials provided to the public and witness reports the culture of the Slomon K'Hara is united by a common telepathic bond. How this hive mind is oriented is unknown but it does seem to show that certain personalities within the Slomon K'Hara are archetypal and have memories and experiences that are shared and private. Associations and relationships also seem to be an individual choice when dealing with species outside the collective.
While not many of their systems are known to the Human race, a small number of star systems containing a significant Nomad presence have been charted (and in a few instances, fully explored): Omicron Delta, Omicron Iota(which is rumored to be the Nomad capital system), Omicron Kappa, Omicron Lost, Omicron Minor, Omicron Chi, Omicron Psi, Omicron Mu, Omicron Rho, Omicron Sigma, Omicron Epsilon, Inverness and Alaska.
NOMAD TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION
NOMAD MORPH
Only recently understood by Humans, the so-called Nomad Light Fighter is in fact a form of Nomad that has not matured. Their connection to the Mindshare is not fully developed yet. Top Zoner scientists believe that they have been sent out into Sirius to learn, to gather, and to return as fully mature members of the Mindshare, however, aggressive behaviour from these immature Nomads is not unheard of.
LABRAID
First encountered by Order forces in the Omicrons, scouring the deep reaches of space for new resources and locations. Identified as an organism, the voidrunner is incredibly agile and capable of delivering devastating barrages of energy at their intended targets with terrible accuracy and precision. While almost never seen traveling alone, it seems that damaged voidrunners attract the attention of other voidrunners in the area, drawing more and more to the location.
THE ADAD BOMBER
The first encounter with these creatures was an unmitigated disaster that signaled the beginning of the first Nomad war. The destruction of Freeport 7 at the hands of these terrible beats set into motion events that nearly caused the undoing of the Human race, and while those efforts were ultimately stalled, the evidence of the Archon's prowess can still be seen scattered in a decaying orbit of the Sigma-17 sun
THE ANZU
The Anzu appears to be a hybrid between the Rabisus terrifying mobility and the Nammus thicker hide. Mostly observed escorting groups of smaller craft, the Anzu is able to maneuver even through the most contested patches on a battlefield and avoid most of the fire directed its way. Its unique, lithe frame makes it nauseatingly difficult to hit even from up close, although the design philosophy with this species seems to have heavily favoured mobility over firepower or sustainability, as the Anzu is exceedingly vulnerable to enemy snubcraft as soon as its veil is depleted.
Still, the Anzu is a terrifying enemy to face, as it is extremely disruptive, all the while appearing as uncaring and persistent as any Nomad.
NAMMU NOMAD MINDNODE
Nomad Mindnodes are large morphs that often accompany their smaller brethren to the far-reaches of Nomad territory. It is believed that Mindnodes are responsible for communications with the Nomad "Mindshare" networkto a degree. When Mindnodes accompanying Voidrunners were destroyed, the Voidrunners appeared disoriented for several minutes before resuming attacks. Despite their role in the Nomad castes, this creature is still a force to be reckoned with. Far more maneuverable than any vessel their size, these organisms can deal and absorb enormous amounts of damage.
THE MARDUK BATTLESHIP
Over the course of the year 824 A.S. these Nomad specimen have gradually superseded the previous Marduk species that has roamed the far reaches of the Omicron systems since the end of the Nomad War. The new Marduk's main body can be separated in three main parts that are roughly spherical and connected through a narrow column that is vulnerable to attacks. Through the opaque skin bathed in its own bioluminescence, gestating shapes are occasionally visible, giving credence to the theory that these Nomad specimen, are, in fact, breeders able to reproduce asexually or a type of carrier, able to transport smaller Nomads. However, nobody has ever observed the process given the novelty of this species and therefore, the theory is doubted in the scientific community, given that the Nomads have also multiplied before this Nomad species appeared.
Like the other new Nomad species, the Marduk also sports an array of undulating tendrils of light that are arranged symmetrically around its massive body. Smaller Nomad ships tend to flock around these tendrils and follow the Marduk as it moves just to flit away suddenly. Specked with weapon cysts across its entire mass, the Marduk is a formidable enemy that fights ever more viciously the more injuries it sustains. However, its death appears to momentarily disorient smaller Nomad ships in the vicinity.
NOMAD ISHTAR DREADNOUGHT
The very pinnacle of Nomad evolution, the Ish'tar Artillery Dreadnought is the most enigmatic new Nomad species that has appeared over the recent years. Even bigger than the Marduk, the Ish'tar has three arm-like growths arranged around its midsection in a triangular manner that are able to unleash a torrent of devastation over long distances able to punch through even the strongest Battleship hulls. Mesermizing bioluminescent lights dance across the skin of this behemoth, the undulating tendrils of light belying the stultifying hideousness left behind in the wake of any appearance of this creature.
Usually protected by a swarm of smaller Nomads that are eager to protect it, the Ish'tar oftentimes does not even need to debase itself with combat and it is said that those exposed to it for too long felt like it was almost bored the way it played with its prey. However, as terrifyingly beautiful it is, the Ish'tar is barely protected from attacks targeting its back and lower end.
This documentation I have provided may already be to your knowledge but I hope this is something you are looking for and I think it plainly states that the nomad mindnodes are not to be messed with when they are in great numbers.
The nomads are obviously a race of beings not to be messed with ,But I am confident that the human race if they were to come together in groups and take on these vermin then im sure we would prevail in the end...
May i also just confirm to you that we will welcome all crew and ships under your command to FREEPORT 12 anytime in the future and i am sure we will be communicating alot more and can i also pass on the kind regards to all unioners from my CEO who would love to meet you and your crew sometime.
Hopefully we will have a long friendship andwe can maybe do some business deals in the future.
Can i also mention there was alot of documents unreadable and unfortunately alot were in a very shabby state so this is mainly all i could salvage
Your good friend

Darius:
This may seem small to you, but it is a treasure trove to me. I've been short of Nomad data, and this will kick start my investigations. Unfortunately, things at home continue to be my utmost priority, so it may have to wait.
My crew and I may be coming to your Freeport in the near future for a meeting or two with friends from outside Rheinland, where we need peace, quiet and, most importantly, discretion. I'll make sure to stop in and see you while we're there.
You've earned a friend in the Union today, Darius. I'll be here any time you need me.
