I don't know why this happened, but I wanted to teach my friend how to play freelancer. I used /givecash so he could buy a nice cargo ship and we could go mining. I sent 100000000 to him, and when he logged on, he saw received cash and he was still at starting 25000 and could not buy the ship. I had to send more just so we could play and do a couple mining runs. Transfer names (hope his helps) Red_Dwarf /givecash sent to Dave_Lister. I'm sure I can make this back, I just am confused on why the money didn't work right?.... Thank you to all who can help.
Assuming that everything was executed on your part correctly, and you can check both of your DSAce log files to verify, then the only possibility that comes to mind is that he initiated a /restart command after you sent the credits, and when he loaded the ship again everything was wiped per the standard operating procedure. That's just a guess, though.

After review, I now see what is going on. This means my wife and I can't play together online. I understand the need to have ensure a player is playing every ship. At least my friend in another state can still play. With our work schedules it's hit or miss.
It doesn't mean you can't play together but if it is obviously 2 ships played by 2 seperate people, then you will be fine. The problem comes when we see a miner log on, fill a stationary Trade Ship, then log off and the trade Ship then goes on its merry way. It looks very suspicious.
It also looks very suspicious if 2 or more Trade Ships are moving together and act as one unit at all times.
A trade Ship and escort are unlikely to be played by the same person, as is 2 fighters/GBs/Capital Ships etc.
