I've no idea how something as blatant as range can be overlooked when it was confirmed to be the 2nd main issue of the weapon, making it high reward-0 risk. There's nothing caps can do to counter coronas because of safe distance, making them completely overpowered. They were like that last patch as well but I thought the balance team figured out range has to go down by now. Yet another half-assed change, the range shouldn't be higher than 600 meters.
You all know by now that my preferred stance on balance is handling things one step at a time. I'm not fond at all of the idea of applying more than one nerf or buff at once to any given thing, especially not a brand new weapon. The damage resistance overhaul the Corona just received was a massive change and is working nicely. Now we can look into range. This drama full of constant demands has got to cease, you're acting like we're all still living in a Discovery where updates drop over the course of years or even months instead of weeks.
Now with all that said as someone who was actually using the thing in a real fight today instead of being on the receiving end of it, it seemed to be in a pretty good spot to me. Yes, the weapon has the advantage over the SNAC of not requiring the pilot's inertia to hit the target, but on the other hand it requires the pilot to sit in one spot, leaving them vulnerable to flaks, fighters, and generally being encircled. I lost approximately half my bots during that fight at Houston, similar to what I would expect using a SNAC. I'm personally inclined to believe a lot of people are looking at the numbers and doing armchair balance with theory instead of using the weapon in actual practice and drawing their conclusions from there. That or you're a guy who only flies caps.
What I'm mostly upset about though is the amount of vitriol over a change that can be made within a week. We continue to work faster and faster yet this community has absolutely no patience for what we do, and I am quickly growing tired of it.

Eh its different people, Iris. Discovery having cliques around how people play and what they fly is a universal constant, similar to the speed of light, law of gravity, and the internet being made of cats.
