My insignificant little dev opinion is, give people access to all nomad ships (maybe except Ishtar) and let them go in NY and create a buzz of activity. Like the good old days, when random Sarissa's and sometimes Lolgates found their way in and promised everyone a jolly good time. Like, it is always fun to see encounters like that, people just do like Eisenhower once said:
"Imagine how all our differences, worldwide... would vanish, if we were facing an alien threat, outside this world!"
So, make it happen plox! Let me shoot those things and have nerdgasms once in a while!

As for raids or contact with nomads in places with activity i agree. The house gates we had facilitated these fourays nicely but the dev explanation for the removal of the gates is they inpact the servers stability. For better or worse this was why Kharas use of the nomad jump drives where to be relegated to one way use.
We intend and are planning this very soon.

vary well.
Don't put words in our mouths and we won't guess your motivations outside of your actions in the future.
As for the ops post the explanation is simple. Devs. they give and take everything nomad related. Vary little input has been heeded from the faction leadership in the past.
Should the nomad bs or portfolio of ships go full open let it be on our collective heads.
Look, Huggie, I remember your two-hour-rant video on Twitch when the Vagrants turned official. I will not say it didn't have some interesting aspects to it, but what it very certainly showed was the fact that you either didn't read up anything about the Vagrants, or that you didn't understand/didn't want to understand what you read. And I feel like what you write here is another good example of it, since it is blatant bullcrap.
We never even indicated that we were not interested in battleships. There is so much stuff in the Vagrant write-up that clearly shows the opposite. The concepts for the Vagrant development were out there from the very beginning. The adaption research was there from the very beginning. The idea of the Vagrants returning to Sirius with the intention to evolve and grow to a fully developed faction was out there from the very beginning. In fact, I was there from the very beginning, with the intention to earn myself the Nomad Battleship(s) I wanted to fly, as a person that almost entirely only flies battleships. Back then, only the Marduk was available, and not even to us, since we were, before we turned official, bound to the restrictions of the Nomad Indie ID. It was also around that time when I fought to enable indie nomads to use the Irra. The Ishtar wasn't a thing back then, but even then already we opted for it as you can see by the dates of the adaption research thread. The new nomad models weren't in the game back then, apart from the Rabisu. Only later, withunder thanks to Foxglove annoying the devs for a long time, the new models got implemented, so indies got access to a battlecruiser as well.
When we turned official, none of the Vagrant members had, with our own limitations set, access to the Marduk yet - we had per ID, not by score - and we later EARNED the first Marduk, which was mine, by doing all the trials and having the necessary score to ensure a certain contribution to the faction and to the server. If you ever read up on anything about the Vagrants, you should be fully aware about what these trials are. Later, the Ishtar was added as a playable ship to the game - once again with major help of Foxglove, who even bought one for a balance dev so they could test the ship out in Conn and balance it out. @Antonio can sign it.
So not only did we aim for battleships from the very beginning but also have our own limits set to have a certain quality assurance for it. You can of course continue to trashtalk your subjective view on our delivered quality as much as you want and try and twist and turn the facts as usual, and I will refrain from making comparisons between Vagrant and K'Hara since it doesn't lead anywhere, but I'd like to ask you to reduce that kind of bullcrap to your K'Hara chats, where you and Lucas and Ice probably still think that it doesn't get leaked by people that don't feel the need to bandwagon or pretend that "we" are having a superiority complex.
If I was you, I'd stop this behavior. You're not better in any terms than us.
Your opinions are noted but tales of the tribulations you felt to earn the ship are not shared by me. I will let others make their concerns known themselves. I really am quite complete with my earlier point.
