All my time flying the Nomad caps I've come to understand that they're genuinely good for tanking. Especially the old Marduk. Other then the Valor it's one of my favourite ships to fly and fight with. A lot of people underestimated the old Marduk's ability to fight and they found out quickly it wasn't something to be messed with. I'll be honest I REALLY want the old Marduk back.
The new ships are still very strong, especially the Ishtar and how much tanking it can take (As I found out last night. Yeah btw K'Hara|Nergal is back : ) ) so handing out the Ishtar to every indi would be a GRAVE mistake.
These days Nomads are pretty much ALWAYS targeted first due to both InRP and OORP reasons. There just aren't enough of us to sustain a decent fight, hence why a lot of people resort to Buttcloacking, which is also probably why they're targeted first.
Please bare in mind I don't know what the Indi ID says so what I'm about to propose might already be stated in the indi ID.
What I'd like to see is that the current Marduk (The med BS) made available to Indis to give us as Nomad players a bit more of a chance to fight in the Omicrons BUT I would see some restrictions put in place.
1) Obviously no freely engaging transports UNLESS a K'Hara or Vagrant engages first
2) Non infinite cloaks for Indis or Nomad JDs (Or even ban them/Force human cloaks)
3) A restriction on their ID's that they can't enter home world's (Alpha, Gamma, Mu etc) with the Marduk UNLESS escorted by a K'Hara or Vagrant
4) Decloaking BEFORE dropping RP lines for engagement plus a 3k decloak range from targeted vessel
5) Limited to ONLY omicrons
This is a very strong ship, especially with the cloaking ability so I think these restrictions would make the ship useful but not OP.
Do you not understand that your chances of surviving are far higher in a fighter than they ever will be in a battleship? That's always been the case on Disco: Agile craft always outlive big ships. That's why, back in the days of the keepers, the majority of us flew bombers and fighters (or the occasional gunboat) rather than bringing the marduk out all the time. The irra (cruiser) was also hardly ever used because it lacked the tankiness and firepower of a battleship and didnt bring anything else to the field.
There is no reason for indies to need the marduk, and certainly not the ishtar. They really dont need anything above the gunboat, IMO. Stick to fighters and bombers and you'll live longer and make more of an impression.
To be fair, looking at how things developed since the indie ID allows Irra and Siris, and how HF indies can use the Arbiter and didn't kill Discovery with it by now, I don't think the Marduk should be restricted anymore. It'd probably pass the trial.

I mean, I tried to cooperate with you guys in the past, I tried to unify us, all I ever got from Foxglove was salt about K'Hara, which in turn has lead me to an understanding like this, so let's not pretend everything is absolutely fine from your end of the faction.
Even though I ignored it for the most of the time and tried to stay civil in between this, and only person sharing positive views about our faction and our members was actually you Sombra, and there I thought, you and Foxglove maybe are finally talking things over and we're ready to transition to a place where we forget hate in this game.
But....
The last time I got so fed up with your faction, was when we tried to gather in Delta to make a move against Core with tC accompaning us, I was treated like crap by your own faction leader, with Con sharing his opinions loudly with over 10 people on VC at the time, with opinions we didn't really need, along with FG saying to me in Discord PMs Quote: "I wish that K'Hara died to inactivity or got deleted entirely, so we could actually get Nomads somewhere", so that was the last straw, and me being unbiased between this drama the whole time, has lead me to an understanding that you guys just don't want to be helped, thus gaining this Superiority Complex idea about your faction,
so let's drop the act, and start acting like adults perhaps?
I kinda wish and do not wish K'Hara wouldn't exist. On one hand, you being there literally has no ramifications for me or my faction. Even development stuff works out fine as Huggie rarely says anything in the dev chats when it comes to the topic of Nomads. On the other, I am a little man, Vex, and when there is stuff happening like K'Hara (at first) getting our jump drives without having done anything for it, do excuse me for feeling like I've just been held for a fool. I've also read the K'Hara chat when it happened and know of the glee you all expressed when that happened, so excuse me if I roll my eyes when you accuse me of being the lesser person when it's you who are freeloading of literally all that has been done for the Nomads in the past year or so. But hey, I'm glad you're active again.
I'm not accusing anybody for being lesser or not for starters, because you see...I Returned to Discovery when you just got your Jumpdrives, and honestly I didn't really understand the relations between your factions at the time, I agree even I might've been emotional about Staff or Vagrants (Frankly I don't care about it anymore) taking away our chance for mobility as well, but that doesn't mean what I said above was true.
I'm actually in the faction, trying to steer things to different directions now for some time now, I have also thought of a new feature (Development request sent, and pending) , to blatantly not copy off from your ideas, because I really do feel like we should give diversity and options to choose from, from both sides that is.
I'm already trying to get one of my RP ideas going , just so I can hope to see our faction members to play along, and perhaps, we put all this hatred behind us one day (Both sides are implied, not taking sides here), and we could even get some of those merged?
