Regardless of how 'awesome' the black hathor looks, it isnt an order model, it's a zoner model that got shoehorned into the order shipline, and overall it's a low quality model. It should be redone.
I particularly like the concept, however crude your drawing may be. The Hathor's always stuck out among the Order shipline, so if it can get more streamlined into the 'feel' of the Order, then I'd certainly approve of it.
Just don't five it wing flares.
or arches.. please don't give it arches..

It's also because rule wise we wouldn't be able to have two IDs under one tag again. So Core would/did split from BHG and became its own thing: an independent paramilitary with the same objectives as before, but more of a focus on the conquest and empire building aspects that were previously underplayed.

The order now controls significantly more space than before (we have pretty much all of Omicron Mu and Omicron Epsilon to ourselves, as opposed to just the small area in minor/toledo and a largely blank guard system), and the order also now owns a more resource rich planet and more starbases which can produce spacecraft.
Not so much the case anymore:
Alexandria Infocard Wrote:Alexandria, initially completed in 810 A.S. as just a hollowed out planetesimal, has been continuously expanded over the years to suit Order needs. The largest renovation came after the loss of Toledo, when the organization needed everything it could to sustain itself. In the years since, as matters have calmed down in comparison, the focus of this facility has become geared towards research and development.
Now the primary such installation of the Order, it is the source for the latest technological innovations used by their fleets and operatives abroad alike. Despite this however, Alexandria exists precariously in Omicron Epsilon, a system the Order barely has a foothold in that is in close proximity to many sources of hostile activity.
But yeah, Hathor has always looked pretty iffy and could do with a new model. It just looks like an edgy Zoner gunboat.
I think the infocard on that is a little confused, considering that The Order has fort carthage and another battleship (I believe?) in omicron epsilon, plus there's no other faction bases there except for the nomad lair.
I said BHG core out of habit, I'm an old player and I'm not used to the new name changes =P

Alpha is two jumps away, with the jump into epsilon being on the opposite side of the system from the order bases and guarded by a battleship. Not that any of this matters, this thread is supposed to be regarding ship models, not order territory
Another thing to consider is: if we do get a new model for the ship, should its name and info card change? We could go the route of the bastet and make it the hathor mk. II, or we could find a new name and describe it as an entirely new ship built to phase out the older hathor gunboat.
I always loved the old Hathor myself, I never understood why it was changed to a much clunkier model. The old Hathor was just a pleasure to fly, regardless of its performance which wasn't bad. The order started out borrowing from other factions, made sense they'd stick with a good thing. This ship is hot!

If you move that opening cargo bay to the back you can make something cool like the Halo's Pelican, it can even have the cockpit look like the one on the snubs order line and keep the wing engines
Ofc i am not saying to port the pelican into Discovery, but it can be used as a base idea like the cool firefly/serenity we have
