Nathalie is surrounded by attention. She has a good care. But... Grannies sometimes push it to the line. Well, there's only one who doesn't. Jerard's grandpa, Jerimiah. He doesn't restrains Nathalie that much, he only gives her the attention she wants. And... She also loves to spend time with me. Like, she barely speaks, but sometimes she points at the stars and ships and asks me about them. I... Try to elaborate it in the most simple form, but she appear to not understand. She's a kid, afterall. But the others... They, eh. They don't like how I "affect" her. 'Cept for Jerard and Mary. But as if their oppinions mattered, they are... "Unexperienced" parents, after all.
There was... Alot of yelling between these two and grannies. Nathalie started crying, so I took her to her room. It was... Way more quiter out there. And then I realised why she was so curious about the stars and ships - her room's window was big and it had a nice view - almost no buildings, only clear sky and mountains. She calmed down and continued to stare into the sky with curiosity, while hubbub in the next room wasn't subsiding.
In the end, Mary prohibited grannies to approach Nathalie. And she also restricted the access to their appartment. It was a... Tough decision. But they had to hire a nurse. They both had to work, but in the end, they knew whom to hire. And it's good.

Mary and Jerard decided to take a cruise trip into Sigmas. I asked them to be honest with me. If it was about the government. Jerard couldn't tell, but Mary, on the other end... She said that it was something about that Freeport. That it will save all of us. These words kept spinning in my head. Nathalie was four by the time they departed and I couldn't understand. Was it that important for them to leave her alone or were they that irresponsible? Well... She wasn't alone, she had a trusty nurse. And me. As for grannies, they all migrated to Bretonia long time ago, not even wishing to hear about Nathalie. Buncha hypocrits.
Anyway... Mary and Jerard allowed me to stay with Nathalie in my free time. And... She even likes it, I think. Less work for the nurse, that's for sure.

Just saw the news. I... Of course, I will hope for the best. There were reports that there are survivors and I hope that Nathalie's parents made it to the escape pod. But if they didn't... There isn't much choices. I... Can't imagine how I'll support Nathalie's life. I barely can support my own.

The only survivors just returned to Manhattan on the rescue ship. They were showed on the news. There were only four of them, one heavily injured... All men, nobody looked like Jerard.
I... I don't know what to say to Nathalie. But she appears to be aware.
I... Have to go, form the adoption papers. Crouse is also a known surname and the government might be looking for her, in case if something wrong happens. Maybe she'll have to change her papers aswell. To something unremarkable. Like... Jane. Jane Foster. Yeah. Quite simple.
