When it first broke out, there were bouts of consistent pews and a good drive of motivation by players to keep the activity. But for quite a while now, from PvP to roleplay, it's all fizzled out. At least, that's what it looks like to me...
The KNF indies and Orion lost interest when RM entirely gave up on fairplay. The first few battles were nice but then it was just the same crap over and over again.

What are people's thoughts?
People stopped playing because the ganks were not acceptable anymore.
That's probably the biggest reason.
Another reason was, even when you gathered troops, and almost started a pew, one side decided to log off because of numbers, or because the attacker side took to long to bring enough people.
The RMHC would like to end this war, since most of us were always against it.
Vocal entities in the KNFHC would like to settle a truce, and begin discussing diplomatic settlements. I'll try to get a confirmation from Hubert @Stuffz first before however.
Do note that there are still people in KNF, indies and regular members, who would really like a place and a cause to get their ships in the air and fight stuff.

Considering devs made it clear that the war is not going to stop now, it seems that making diplomatic talks would be pointless.
Personally I don´t think the potential of this war was fully used and is fully depleted. Sure, the war can end, but one more possible activity source could be handy for both Kusari and Rheinland playerbase. I mean, there are not any better replacements and both areas have activity problems.
I prefer some event involving outcasts or dragons, maybe with some profit for those, that can and is allowed to have KNF intervention.
Saying that is no use doing any diplomatic talks because devs this or that is a good reason for plummeting non-pew interactions and/or rp in both houses.
I am just saying it´s weird to have peace talks when both sides (or at least their indies) can freely continue to shoot each other because it´s part of official current storyline. But we are going off topic here I guess.
I liked it. Then I got exams and when I passed them, I didn't really feel like playing Disco any more and instead started a hotseat campaign of Medieval 2 TW with Antonio. When that was done, the war had already fizzled out. Managed to get only one pew. I think one of the flaws is that Sigma-21 is too far for the RM, and they can't react to a Hessian infestation if all their ships are in 21. As of Kusari, I only saw a single [KNF] ship take place and I think that the Kusari side failed because there was no one to organize them. Why the war didn't prompt more players to join the [KNF], I don't know. I myself am only interested in capital ships and wouldn't bother grinding through the ranks with a fighter.
PS: And Felipe left. He was very motivated. Haven't seen any initiative from the current RM so far. Haven't see any from the [KNF] during the whole war.
