and who's fault is that?! there are wars along the map, and why always pick fp11?
how can you expect so few players can be around all map, doing their rp of their main chars and also this? why the hell you, and when i say you i mean the admins. accepted an event on the same place of other event, when there are so many thing that you guys could promote about the storyline.
So, to begin with, quite clearly people are doing the Omicron Lost event and the FP 11 event. The fact that these two are in close proximity is a non-issue and actually drives even more participation out there. Even with that, people still continue things elsewhere. Why would they not? Staying in the same 3-4 systems all day would be a bit tiresome.
They very recently just did a major storyline bit in Tau involving CR and Outcasts. Major storyline events aren't a daily or even weekly occurrence, that would be an absurd expectation to have of any small select group of people.
Edit: I've got nothing against the fact that FP11 happened, just poking around the rationale behind it since FP11 is really just an easy target. It isn't a strategic target nor a tactical target against...really anyone in the region. Its more a waste, I think, except to say "we did this" since even with the more worthwhile Iridium event, it is getting repaired relatively quickly (likely due to the various parties it affects just as a neutral location).
I am writing this once again just to clarify one thing, and that is, our intention was not to piss anyone off, or something like that. Our gameplay is led by logic and our role play.
The idea to bomb Freeport 11, and as well the reasons to bomb it, date back trough the 2017.
The Commune attempted to put Freeport 11 under their control, with specific conditions, that were not accepted.
There is also a RP where Alesia gets connected with Commune after her FP 11.5 extension gets removed. She sees use of Commune while Commune also sees use of her.
Why? Because the Commune has a goal to shape Sirius in what they believe it should be. And whatever the cost is. The Freeport is a place that is neutral to anyone who is not a Nomad, infectee or someone that does not attack it. That means, it will gather many enemies of the Commune and Nomads, to which l, Commune is alied.
I am on phone and I am not able to go look for many posts that are inRP reports, that show Zoner Carriers, being destroyed in Nomad home worlds, while they were harvesting for remains.
The links above show how Nomak attempted to end this, but without success. I don't know if I mentioned that such place, which I described, that we bombed, is very close to where we want to establish ourselves too.
This was all said by @Chrysalis wrote in this thread but I see that some do not have eyes. As for those who say how we could bomb something other, how repetitve it is, it is not any valid argument as, neither of you are in The Commune and neither of you, should attempt to direct how the group will utilize it's gameplay, or roleplay. Nor any of you benefited in it's build up in the critical times. Therefore, we will do what is required to keep our group alive, and with a sense.
We've bombed Newcastle gate in New London, but our event request got rejected because devs had other plans for the gate. I don't know which, but alright. Other than that, currently not.
For those not knowing more about The Commune and it's lore, check it's threads.
The only people who may be pissed off are Lusitano and Makoto. Other than that, people are only bringing forward legitimate concerns and thoughts regarding this event:
Commune nuking a solar they're not hostile to, having shot them in the past already, an expecting to use their bases thereafter.
Freeport 11 being NEMP'd again in a long line of NEMPs. People don't think it's very original and are kind of sick of it.
Repetition is an entirely valid argument, given the use of the NEMP in this forces people to take part in a way. And it seems to be that people just don't really have the energy for another one of these on the exact same solar. You can bomb it for your own ends, you just can't expect people to be willing to immediately partske, which is what people are getting at.
