It recently became a necessity to have an army of smaller support crafts like Storta because in some situations Ranseurs do not always suffice. And with the recent developments and my purchase of a Storta destroyer, it seems almost required to supply our capital crafts with experimental weaponry to continue this ever growing weapon's race.
Taking a regular Sirius wide available basic cruiser turret and adding few amplifiers here and there yielded some results. Maybe not satisfactory at first, but they did fill the required power output requirements. They were not perfect, and required more wiring and logic components to create and control energy bursts within the weapon itself.
Much more control made the gun gone more long range and more damage, yet power requirements reclassified it into battle cruiser class. Imperfect sinusoidal wave with unfiltered harmonical waves caused evetual wear and tear of integrated circuits and required further wave smoothing using capacitors and coils at leaky parts of the main logic board.
Power converter was heating up lineary after every shot and required more rigid transistors and bigger heatsinks to handle increased power consumption. Furthermore, particle recombination space blew up old temperature sensors and required a more sophisticated ones.
This weapon is currently useless for Maltese warships, but might be sold in smaller quantities to selected contacts outside Maltese space for some provisions unobtianable by ordinary means.
