Most of you don't know it but this year has been hell in my home. Illness, my son's suicide attempt, dealing with my own depression and recently, job loss, have overwhelmed me. It's also why I haven't been around near as much as I would like. As many of you veterans know, Disco is like a second home to me and a family. The musical that I'm doing as we speak has also taken much of my time as well.
Recently, I met a man who does aviation contracts around the world. When he saw my credentials, he offered me an opportunity. So I'll have a new job and an adventure in January for 6 months on the island of Madagascar maintaining police helicopters and EMS aircraft while training maintenance personnel. I don't know what my living arrangements will be or what the internet there is like but I'm optimistic. So long as I have internet and a laptop, I can still do Disco when time allows.
So I have to ask, has anyone here been to Madagascar? If so, tell me about it and what I might want to bring with me and what to expect.
Hey Doc, I am sad to hear such news. I hope the future will bring better things into your life.
I've a friend who spent some time in Madagascar, I've just sent her an e-mail, I'll keep you updated as soon as possible
