It is so long already since you have welcomed me to your wonderful estate on planet Gran Canaria.
Never will I forget the great hospitality I received not only from you, but also from the good people that surround you.
Certainly, many years have passed but the dust that has gathered upon our amiable correspondence can be rinsed off.
I have been quite rudely awoken from my retirement, with news of conflict arising in our beloved protectorate.
I have not forgotten how much Corsair blood has been spilled in days past, guaranteeing the safety of your and our people.
In that light, I am certain that this sacrifice has not been committed in vain.
Tell me then, as I shall arise the stairs of the Corsair Council of Elders once more,
is there anything an old Corsair Elder can mean for you in these tumultuous times?
I await your response with much delight my old amigo.

Hola, Elder,
I must apologize. My attempts at reason failed here. Bretonia demanded removal of Corsair colonists, most of whom are women and children from Canaria, I refused. For years now, they have lived in peace here as have Bretonian refugees on Port Jackson. Both groups are a concern of mine. That said, I would rather not get into too much here in a transmission for fear of hackers.
I will do one better. I am making time on my schedule to visit Crete. It has been awhile. Let me know what you might need there so I can bring a hold full of goods. Please, non-combat only.
It is so good to hear from you in such short notice!
Do not worry over these outrageous demands the Bretonians bring to the table!
The children of Crete will be protected by our ample forces.
It is truly heartwarming to note your action to take a stance in their favour though.
I am making preparations to travel to planet Crete myself,
I do hope I make it in time for us to meet there and you are most welcome to stay at the Brotherhood's Sephardi estate.
I shall make sure there is a grand room there for you.
As for what Crete always needs, food supplies to hand out to the people will do as a great gift.
Not only will you help all those poor and hungry souls,
they will also cheerfully chant your name as you show yourself such a good friend of the Corsair people!
I look forward to our next conversation amigo!
