The Vagrant did not rightly buy the idea that humans were supposed to be the ones behind the Cult of Technology. If that were true, it would mean that humanity was physically capable of understanding the universe in a way that approximated the Daam K'Vosh, which, to a Nomad, was inconceivable. To them, it was more likely that a third race was behind them. However, they would not further push this point of discussion.
Then we begin.
With this simple reply, the computers aboard the Eidolon Wraith and its entourage would register a rising energy level from the Vagrant in front of them that approximated the readings of a jump drive. It was evident that the enormous creature was drawing considerable amounts of power from the Nomad Power Cell it carried within itself. Slowly, they would register the formation of a hyperspace singularity around them, encompassing the entirety of the small group. Slowly, carefully, over the course of several minutes, the field would stabilize to the point where motes of light began to flicker around them, all the while the energy levels were still building up, supported by the Power Cell.
Reality began to warp around them and the light disappeared as the Vagrant forced them into hyperspace, towing the group with it. For several moments, there was nothing, no light, no visual input whatsoever. Then it stopped. The energy readings rapidly dropped below their initial levels, indicating that the Power Cell was not in use anymore. Around them, there was nothing. In the distance, the human ships' computers would try to calculate their location, using the dots in the distance as metric. Galaxies, every single dot an isle of worlds many times larger than the Sirius Sector. Two of them were especially prominent: Where they had come from, and where they intended to go. Two spiral galaxies.
It took several minutes before the Vagrant would wake from its stupor, apparently quite drained from the ordeal it had just endured. It had moved them more than one and a half million light years away.
We slightly overshot the target. With sublight, we will reach it in 52 hours.
Through their link, it would be apparent that the action had taken a lot of effort. Slowly, the Vagrant would begin to move, turning slightly, expecting the rest to follow. It would be an uneventful flight through the immense void between galaxies.
