@ Markam again. I think the biggest barrier to escorts being viable is the fact that bombers can rip transports to shreds with ease while being difficult to take out themselves when flown correctly. At least that's how I remember them being, the combination of cap killing fire-power and agility made them super effective against most targets last I saw some in action.
I’d like territory control implementation using each houses Marine commodity for houses at war. Take the buffer systems and dead end systems and let Military IFF players capture the bases for their house by offloading Marines to them. Then set them to the new controlling houses military IFF at server restart. It would make conflicts seem more dynamic.
Also try to get more activity during the slow period. I don’t know how, maybe events for those time zones?
Fair enough point about the bombers wrecking transports, would need to allow escorts to intercept antismuggling operations before they are in range of transports, but that is within the realms of possibility though right?
I would like carriers to be actually viable. Give then one heavy slot at the very least. Plus the drone as a support feature rather than having entire ship rely on a drone to do damage. Or increase number of drones to 3 and reduce drone respawn timer to 30 seconds.
If all else fails, for the love of god revert them to battleships.
