Disco can be wierd at times. Its unique roleplay enviroment where players actually influence ingame content if they put enough time into it is very much a design-by-committee process, which can create frustration due to contrasting goals and visions.
What that ends up creating is a shared vision, come fair or foul. Sometimes it's difficult.
The mood of the community lately seems to be improving. I've been here since 2009 and consistently since 2011, which is an obscene amount of time to play a game. Children are in double figures that were not so much as a zygote when I first downloaded this mod. There's people who have been around for much longer and have contributed so much more, with even more exotic stories about how this strange little corner of the internet has developed over its lifespan, from a crazy system and ship-pack back when Microsoft still supported servers run by one dedicated modder, to a massive conglomeration of original content and systems, to a hardcore RP mod that supports PvE and community contributions.
Don't forget, the average live expectency for a non-mmo multiplayer community is 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if we make it to 20 years. That's incredible, only communities like oldschool arena shooters, some niche RTS's and generation one MOBAs have a similar levels of multiplayer longevity.
What do you like about Discovery, and the Discovery 24/7 supported server community, and why? What makes you play here?

Freelancer is just unique, player interaction inRP is just non-existent on other games. Staff and players must work together to make it even better, just like those 220 player peaks!

Other serious roleplay servers are either too serious and ridiculous, such as stigma for desiring to obtain a weapon or just over the top RP that doesn't make sense and breaks away from lore
