I must say, Field Marshall, that this comes as a welcome transmission. I remember a time when the Coalition, then led by Premier Alvin Katz, loathed Bretonia or any house government so when I saw the Coalition as part of the Sydney Accords, I found myself sick to my stomach. That was not the Coalition I came to know, the one that I was able to work with in peace, the one that I once received a dignitary's welcome with my late wife on Volgograd.
Bretonia took Gran Canaria under the guise of a place to withdraw its people to. Now I know the Coalition has no love of Corsairs but when many of the settlers who sought out a new way of life on the surface, a life away from piracy, were being rounded up and murdered, their true colors came out. I will forever believe that they were jealous that they could not find a way to make peace with them. We too had our issues with them and found common ground. What is worse is that many of those children that were slaughtered were delivered planet side by myself or my medical staff.
The Coalition? They respected our space and our law. They were guests at my home. Now I find myself living in secrecy as I am considered a murderer. On the ground, I can fight with the best of them. In a cockpit, I am weak. I do hope that one day I will return to my home and rebuild. It would be a kick-in-the-groin if Bretonia pushes back Gallia but holds high Gran Canaria as a sort of war trophy. I cannot be present to help but my staff will be available should they be needed as is the Zoner Consensus.

Recipients of this broadcast,
Bretonia does not usually respond to such broadcasts, but for the sake of balance, I, commander of Bretonia forces within Omega 49, will respond, as the content references my forces. This is not a communication from the admiralty as a whole, or the Bretonia government.
Herr Keller, as a military commander, as a warrior, and as a man, I have only the deepest respect for you. However, I must implore you to restrain from political statements, threats and denouncements. Leave the words to the politicians, and leave your frustrations and objections to private communications to those you report to. If you have words for Bretonia, you know where I am.
I have stated previously to you, and I will do so again here, the conflict with the Hessians, and indeed the IMG who triggered the Hessians to become involved, is an unfortunate situation. Efforts were made in private to come to an understanding, however it seems two unmovable positions were on a collision course from the start. I do not believe, in most of the participants hearts, that we truly wish to be exchanging fire with one another, not while - and I am aware they hear this - our foes still hold breath. It will end soon, and I believe we can rebuild bridges, eventually.
As for the Kassel, it entered our space, it assaulted one of our worlds, and destroyed a police base in the Gwent, in an attack that was conducted without prior statement of hostilities, a sneak attack that defies conventions of war. It however came at a poor time for the Kassel, and our forces that had moved from Cambridge dealt it a heavy blow and destroyed and scattered its' escorts, those that did not flee the system with the Kassel have taken up at Aland. That being said, our objective in the system is not to destroy the Kassel, it is to take the Shipyard, so I say it plainly, you have little to be concerned about, unless the Kassel in-advisably attempts a 2nd time to disrupt our operation. I implore you to reason with your allies, instead of trying to stay an execution that is not on the books, and needlessly denounce an agreement to boot.
As to the assorted mass of murderers, terrorists, lunatics and fanatics who replied to this broadcast, I say this, spread lies all you wish, wail and screech til your lungs burst, it will not change the reality, Bretonia is a bedrock of civilization, and it will not resort to barbarous acts, and it will not tolerate those who perform them. One day you all will see, you will see that our embrace is a warm one.
And no, we are not rounding up civilians and shooting them. This is not Gallia. 20% of the planet is left to free Zoner enclaves, and we have not intruded upon them with the exception of measures taken to prevent terrorist acts based from them, and to uphold the rule of law. Coalition forces now control areas held previously by the Corsairs as their sovereign territory, I cannot speak for what happens there to the previous residents. For clarity, all residents of of the planet use a single docking ring to come and go, one administered by the Bretonia Police Authority. If you wish to inquire as to the state of the planet and the space above, direct any further communication in private to yours truly.
