I am Leon Dante from Freeport 12 situated in the Galileo system.
I am sending this communication to your organisation to try and sort out a situation which has stopped Freeport 12 from continuing to function in the way we have been used to for a long time.
We had a situation just the other day where 2 of our contract ships which carry the identification [FP12] were spotted in colorado and were followed by 2 of your operatives and told that they were not welcome in Liberty.
These 2 contract ships were both Kishiro identified ships and they do a lot of work for our base collecting items which we ourselves in our Zoner whale vessels cannot collect because of docking restrictions.
These 2 vessels i may ad were unarmed and no threat whatsoever to your operatives and were collecting essential supplies for our base.
These 2 vessels were promptly attacked and the vessels destroyed and the crews were rescued just in time to be saved from dying.
I would like to reach out to your organisation and see if we can resolve this matter in a friendly and organised way.
Freeport 12 is a Zoner establishment in Galileo and we freely manufacture a lot of equipment and trade with a great number of pilots, traders, and people of sirius on a daily basis.
The situation involving the 2 contract ships means that we have had to stop our manufacturing process and it is greatly worrying for me as i have customers and allies who rely on our facility for buying equipment and also trading with us in many different ways.
I am hoping we can come to some sort of arrangement where we can freely use our [FP12] contract vessels without being attacked again and i would like to open up negotiations about the matter and just point out that ANY ....yes....ANY traer pilot or person is allowed aboard freeport 12 as long as they are not of alien origin.
If we can discuss the matter then i will arrange to meet at a location approved by yourselves and see if we can come to an agreement.
Maybe we could do some sort of trade deal which secures the safety of these contract vessels or come to some sort of agreement we can both be happy with.
I would like a reply to this as soon as possible because we need to re-establish our manufacturing and carry on our daily business and make sure our customers are supplied and happy.
A black envelope would be delivered into your possession among a routine supply shipment, slipped in by persons unknown. It is specifically directed to you in scarlet red letters across the front. Should you open it, you would find another envelope with a logo emblazoned on the front and the back sealed with wax.
Leon,
We assume you can recognize from whom this letter originates. We're well aware of your station and its "Freeport" standing. We're rather surprised you aren't aware of us. We tend to get around in the Zoner circle within Liberty's grasp. Normally, asking such things of our Movement would result in a rather painful lesson in the strength of our conviction. We'll forgive your insult born of ignorance just this once. Allow us to educate you.
Our Movement is one that focuses on, among other things, the expulsion of foreign influence from Liberty. The expulsion of foreign labor as far as the Libertonian economy is concerned is included in this. As such, we've been enforcing a price for many years on foreign vessels that happen to have the misfortune of crossing us within Liberty. Such a price comes out to about 5.5 liters of blood from each person contained therein. As one might imagine, we make quite a killing off of this. Those that have come generations before you have recognized our particular business model and have either adapted to it or paid that price. Such is seldom an issue for true Zoners, as they feel no connection to any House and find us to be valuable trade partners. We find them equally valuable as they do not stick their nose where it does not belong.
The interesting thing here is, from our understanding, the Kusarians that had their ships ventilated were under your umbrella. Not merely as outside contractors but operating as a part of your company. Such is in direct violation of what it means to be a Zoner, is it not? So what precisely are you, we wonder? We'll not come to the table with a group steeped in inferior Kusarian stock pretending to be Zoners.
We wouldn't wait too long to decide what you are. There are many among us with rather grim talents that will make dying in a ship explosion seem like the best thing that could ever happen to the next batch of "contractors," whatever flag they may fly or claim to fly.
Leon Dante here again Freeport 12 COO chief Of Operations
After a discussion with our Kishiro Contract vessels it has been decided that our contract with them shall be terminated with immediate effect and i have also arranged for a liberty company to become our contract vessels from now on and this will be Universal shipping who will supply all materials that we need from liberty space from now on.
The Kishiro vessels have expressed their feelings about being under threat and we have accepted their request .......Contract Terminated.
Also i would like to apologise for my abruptness in my earlier communication ..... the situation put us in a rather uneasy place not being able to continue with our manufacturing.
As Zoners we want to make sure we can at least go about our business in the right way and not upset any of our neighbouring systems or organisations in any way.
I hope that this new agreement will help us to push forward and continue our base operations and will iron out any doubts you have had about us and what we are doing.
Under no circumstances will any Kishiro pilots or ships be flying under the Freeport 12 contractor tag from this moment on and i hope that this will ease the situation and both of our organisations can carry on as normal with our business
Another black envelope would find its way into your possession; this time found taped to the office door in the Freeport. It is specifically directed to you in scarlet red letters across the front. Should you open it, you would find another envelope with a logo emblazoned on the front and the back sealed with wax.
Leon,
Color us surprised, yet skeptical. Rarely do we see such a shift so readily presented. We are willing to accept an apology for past transgressions and proof of a change, should you deign to pursue it. Today at 19:37 Sirius Standard Time, you are scheduled to receive a shipping container from a Freelancer Border Worlds Transport hailing to you from Shikoku. This shipping container will find its way onto one of your newly appointed contractors' ships, ending up in Liberty. It will appear to be a shipment of 500 units of Water. How you accomplish this is entirely up to you, however, there are a few rules.
The container will not be scanned, opened, or tampered with.
The container will be undocumented. If you incur a financial cost as a result of this, you may forward it to us and we will reimburse you generously and then some.
You will tell no-one any details about this crate aside from what is necessary to complete this task, or who it comes from.
You will send proof that this container has been delivered, where and when.
You will do this within four standard Sirius days, we believe that is enough time to make arrangements.
As mentioned, this container must end up in Liberty. An additional caveat, it must be delivered to a lawful and civilian base without security restrictions.
You may be asking yourself what's in it for you, and we will offer the same recognition we do to other Zoners within our reach. Relative immunity to Zoners based off of your station, valuation of an NFZ around your station, and cheap premium-quality goods you may sell at a hefty mark-up. While the traders on Ames and Bethlehem are familiar with and enjoy the fruits of what we find fallen off of trucks, we may be persuaded to share this with your station should this task be completed. Additionally, should you desire greater armaments than what you can get without dabbling with unscrupulous drug addicts or the like, we may assist you with acquiring military-grade weaponry if enough of these tasks are completed. We know Freeport security is among the dangerous jobs in Sirius and extremely hard to do well without the proper equipment to protect your clientele.
Should you accept this task, proceed with the instructions given and we will await completion. Should you not, we will continue as if we never had these little messages exchanged. A word of warning, however.
One of our liberty contractors will meet this shipment at the designated time and will be transported to a secure holding point inside Freeport 12 Extension facility and will be under guard until moved to a base within the next three days.
This cargo will not be scanned examined or tampered with in any way you have my assurances on that.
The operative given this role will be [FP12]-Dan.Trenton
The cargo will be housed in a secure hold which has been specially designed so that only myself can open it when we need to transfer it.
I hope your Freelancer has not had any problems ....
Dan Trenton has waited in Shikoku until 20.00 hours but had to end his shift and is docked in Deshima station just in case you may want to arrange the meet again.
