I have been trying to setup a discovery server for the last few days but when ever i click the shortcut, the window flashes up for a split second then disappears again. Normal FL Server with FLHook seems to work though,
https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...tid=152891 If you haven’t already might be worth having a read through here and make sure you’ve followed the steps correctly. If after that you’ve got no luck then it might be worth trying to get hold of @Laz he is the server guru
I have followed that all except the bit about port forwarding as my network (a school) doesn't want to allow the server off the local network. but even the -s123.123.123.123:2302 is not working. So i may have to get in touch with Laz
Additionally, don't start it via a shortcut. Always start via process directly. There is a good chance you're missing the 2015vc++ redistributables. That link Rantari gave should have them.
The tutorial is out of date. -s must be run directly off the Exe now, as the launcher will block server tags.
Edit: If you are running on a local network, you shouldn't need to port forward for it to appear. Otherwise, there might be services issues because of school group policies.
I did double check with my boss and we have confirmed that there are no other services on port 2302 but the main issue is I cannot start the server at all, it flashes up for a moment then closes again
Yes. Don't use shortcuts. I never worked out why but I have almost 0% success rates of opening via a shortcut. Also sometimes, even when it works, it'll close after a second a anyway. Software ain't perfect.
