I've tried, it wouldn't look really good as it didn't fit the overall shape of the shippie.
I've changed some parts of the model to get away from the Brick-shape even more, as well as cleaning up some parts that weren't done well. Looking for ideas on what to do with the upper nose part to make it look less clean
It's coming along nicely! I already gave you some feedback on Discord, but I thought I'd also say something here. I'm looking forward to seeing this get better!
Model looks nice. As for the front end, to avoid looking too much as Valor, you could make it narrower towards the front end, but at the same time bottom end could drop down and make more pronounced lower strut. It needs to look lighter, and bulky front end doesn't help that. Also check window size as they seem a bit big.
So, here to stay or just passing through, Doom? We could use a man of your talents back here again.
Hard to argue with anything the man himself said there Lucas, although I think you could get away with keeping the front a similar shape at least. Keep in mind part of the reason it's so fat at present is because it needs to be able to fit Lynxes in it.
I returned to check the game and mod today. I haven't played in years. Its time to try and play again. As for the modding i think i don't have time now. I got old. Two kids....

Something I'd like to add is that it's best to avoid long thin triangles (or really triangles that are tiny in any dimension), GPUs hate them. It also messes with the per-vertex lighting in FL a bit, and it's better to have a couple extra triangles than long, thin ones.
There's a couple that shouldn't be too hard to clean up but overall this second one is much improved quality wise.
