I believe, given the number of solar systems in Discovery there is space (pun definitely intended) for all kinds of PvE / coop content in the Edge World systems... or even some rarely visited stations / shipyards that are not near the main routes could be turned into PvE zones where you could have spontaneous PvE happening with a chance of players dropping in either to help or sabotage whatever the goal of the zone is (loot farming, mining, maybe even PvE smuggling - does anyone remember when NPCs used to scan for contraband ?)
This is in fact the case with the new system! We want PvE to be something that anyone can do at any skill level going forward while being beneficial in more ways than just "time on the server" and "time clicking right mouse button".
Once I get the go-ahead from the team leads I'll be posting more details.

Suggesting that the devs 'just drop the patch' without any insight into the current state of the development files is a dangerous game just a few days ago this would've resulted in frequent server crashes, and also potentially economy imbalance.
Good point. I'm just an impatient person that wants to see PvE become a thing again.
