Esteemed Admirals of her Majesties Armed Forces,
Since my recent release from custody I request to be reassigned as commanding officer of the Technology and Grants department.
The reason for not requesting command of a fleet again is my believe that it might hurt morale if the soldiers learn they are beeing led into battle by a commanding officer freshly out of jail, even if the accusations did not hold any ground.
For the immediate future I will of course command the Elephant in New London, but should we defeat our enemy the Armed Forces will need to prepare for the future. The officers of the T&G are mostly familiar with me, since I gave the order for and oversaw its becoming. I believe they know me well enough not to question my loyalty to the Kingdom or my integrity.
I eagerly await your decision.
I am happy to hear that the charges against you have been dropped. In regards to our esteemed research division, I see no reason to prevent you from assuming it's command. I would advise you contact one Mr Dagon. Show him this letter as confirmation if you must and inform him that you will be his ranking officer from this point forward. With that said, I'd advise you keep him on side, he is very good at what he does after all.

Esteemed Fleet Admiral Steiner,
Thank you for granting my request, I believe it will be for the best. I will take a shuttle to Fort Winchester shortly to make myself a picture of the current projects and personel.
As for Mr Dagon, if he is even just a bit like his sister we should get along nicely I believe, there is nothing to be worried about.
I fear I should warn you sir, Andrew Hayashi Dagon is not Lady Dagon's Brother. He is her father, tread with caution sir for I cannot save you if things go awry.

Thank you for the warning, I should have read past his surname I suppose.
One way or the other, I am not all too worried about getting into any sort of trouble past the inherited risk of beeing an officer of the Armed Forces. There certainly is a reason for him holding his position and I doubt it was that he has a habit of attacking superiors.
