_Lane Hackers & Natio Octavarium_______Gallic Royal Navy_ ___VS____
The Reactivated Gate
Ever since Professor Moriarty's decision to terminate most operations against both the Liberty Navy and the Bretonian Armed Forces, the Lane Hackers have shifted their attention toward GRN activities in Cortez and Manchester. Mainly hitting the stretched supply lines supporting the Gallic fleets in Cortez and California, the Lane Hackers preyed on GRN and corporate convoys, as well as scouting parties that wandered too far into The Barrier. However, with the recent arrival of Natio Octavarium reinforcements, a more elaborate plan was devised.
The Leeds-Newcastle Jump Gate had been disabled by Bretonia following the invasion of the planet. Owing to their expertise in this domain, the Lane Hackers were able to hack into the Jump Gate's systems and started sending pings towards Planet Leeds, simulating a start-up sequence. The Hackers and their allies lay in wait in the Stokes asteroid field, ready to ambush whatever patrol was sent to check up on the gate.
The signal reached its destination as planned. However, it was misinterpreted by the Gallic Command, which, thinking it was the sign of a Bretonian assault from Newcastle, scrambled a defense force. The Lane Hacker and Natio combined forces were prepared to overwhelm a lone GRN patrol, but how will they fare against an enemy prepared for battle?
