Since a proper Bering rework is probably never going to happen, can we have some sort of huge exclusion zone like Omega-5's Hammen hole? So there can be proper combat in Bering?
Put one or two decorative wrecks in or something like that but all in all just an 'arena' to fight in.

A bering rework will happen if both you and me exercise pressure to make it happen. Probably also Wildkins (LSF). Devs should cater to the needs of factions.
I can whip up a demo. What location do you think is appropriate? It needs to be somewhere people naturally flock to ingame, which, right now, is Pacifica or Freeport 2.

Sure, I'll make a demo. Will be a clearing with big rocks, wrecks of Xenos, Unioners, Separatists, Navy, LSF, etc. Only problem is that the star is directly in the way.

What I would advise instead is a minefield snake pattern with multiple different pockets inside of it, not just 1 massive hole and a few gaps between the fields for capitals to funnel through. Putting some of these in hudson in the respective xeno and liberty rogue fields would also be cool, trench warfare between them would be pretty cool. though most likely hard to justify considering hudson is dead in general, especially compared to bering.
And to make those miners really work for that military salvage, you could put the military salvage field in the middle of that minefield to make it much harder to access.
