|KSP| is now under new leadership (Thanks Renegade for transferring this forum account). As such, this feedback thread is now open again. Before anyone starts commenting, I do want to point out a few things:
Initially I was going to play KSP as indie, but then I thought "if I revive this faction, and no one else joins, then it's like playing as an indie, except reviving |KSP| would create a lot more potential, more opportunities for teamwork and to build something up again". In other words, if no one else joins, that's fine. If others join, that's great, and it sounds like there is some demand for a KSP faction. Between GC-, >BD<, smugglers, the occasional Outcast, and possibly AFS, there are plenty of opportunities.
Searching the forums using the search term "Kusari and police" has yielded many attempts to create a Kusari police faction, and I'm aware of the argument "What can police faction do that navy faction can not do?". Navies typically deal with external threats, but I'm not aware of any wars between houses currently. So navies end up doing a lot of the police work anyway. Well I'm willing to put in the time to try again to create a police faction, because the downside is just my time. I wouldn't have to spend hours cleaning up the faction pages (which are mostly plagiarized from the previous |KSP|) or deal with politics and communication stuff if I just play as indie.
