The Dublin system has been a hotspot of Bretonian industry for decades, mining huge amounts of gold from the asteroids that inhabit the system has made BMM untold riches. However, the current situation, where BMM merely controls Graves Station and the field it sits in is far from the dream that industrialists had for Dublin.
Discovered between 743 A.S. and 745 A.S., the Goldfields in Dublin triggered a gold rush akin to the ones on Earth. People from all over Bretonia, and further, came scrambling to the system, hoping to literally carve out their own fortune from the hoards of rocks in the system. BMM took center stage in the rush, establishing Graves Station as their primary base in the system and starting mining operations almost immediately.
Workers were initially paid fair wages but as the sheer number of potential workers increased dramatically as the rush picked up the pace, their wages and work conditions were cut dramatically. Workers who had traversed the length of Bretonia to get to this fabled golden system found little to no work and were typically stuck in the system, without enough credits to buy their way home. BMM exploited this to great effect, mistreating workers as simple menial labor and paying them a pittance for doing so. The work was dangerous and safety was a rare luxury. Most had no choice but to work for BMM, regardless of the conditions.
This changed on one fateful day.
The Founders Day Revolt in 752 AS. Overworked and underpaid workers took control of their mining stations, executing their overlords, and capturing a pair of mining ships. Rather than attempt to negotiate with the rebels, the BAF arrived in force with a large fleet, destroying the mining ship Endeavor and pursuing the Glorious into a dense field, where the pursuers were routed by a series of large mines, set in preparation for the revolt.
The BAF and Bretonian government, incensed at the continuing existence of a revolving band of miners, sent the HMS-Hood, a Dunkirk class Battleship, from New London to restore order. This was the last straw for the loyal miners in the system. The entire mining population of the system declared their Independence and began a long guerilla war against the oppressive and brutal government. The Hood was disabled by a huge mine. The BAF stripped and abandoned the ship, and the Independent Miners Guild took it over shortly after, establishing the only Freeport within House space.
The miners had come from all over Bretonia during the rush but there was a significant percentage that had common ancestry from the older Terra age. Many could identify links with the old nations and cultures of Ireland, Scotland and other 'Celtic' nations. Those that did not have the blood link were keen to adopt the cultural link that stressed a fight for independence against an oppressive regime.
Naming themselves the Mollys, they began a campaign to free Dublin from the control of Bretonia and their lackeys, the BMM.
Since the revolt, the Mollies have grown into a fierce group of terrorists and pirates, using attacks on commercial shipping and mining operations, civilian establishments, and BAF bases and convoys in their fight to gain independence.
Whilst their goal has always been to free Dublin, the Molly's recognized the need for gaining power in other ways so they could do such a thing. Using contacts throughout Bretonia and working with the Junkers and IMG, the Mollys explored several systems near Dublin.
The Molly's have traditionally been adverse to other forces interfering in Dublin, the system they claim ownership of. Throughout their existence, they have managed to hold them at bay and even keep them out of Dublin. However, the Corsair Empire has recently been sending forces into the system, in the hope of claiming the gold fields for themselves and also removing a potential threat to their growing power. The Molly's have been successful in holding them back but they were dealt a blow when a Corsair force destroyed the surface of Cork. This concreted the growing tension between the two entities and has since become a rallying call for the Mollys against the Corsairs.
The Molly Republic has grown rapidly in the past few decades. From their humble origins in Dublin they have expanded throughout the system and into their new home of Londonderry. Huge fields of resources, or gold, were found in Londonderry and as such it has also been heavily developed. With multiple refineries now at their disposal and these massive supplies of resources, the Mollys have entered a new age of expansion. Whilst attacks on Bretonia increased after the initial formation of the Republic, more recent movements suggest a move for a diplomatic solution. If complete independence could be gained through diplomacy, the Mollys could focus their military elements on their nemesis, the Corsair Empire.
During the height of the Dublin Gold rush, the field manager in charge of the primary large-scale corporate operation in the system was a ruthless tyrant named Sir Edmund Graves. The miners were pushed harder to cover up the shortfall in shipments back to New London, and the situation became critical. The Founders Day Revolt, as it came to be known, occurred on the annual national Bretonian holiday in 752 AS that commemorated the original founding of New London centuries before. The workers mutinied, executed Graves and his compatriots, and took control of the mining ships Endeavor and Glorious. The Bretonian military response was swift and furious. Bretonian gunboats arrived shortly, and in the ensuing battle, destroyed the Endeavor and its mutineers. Despite few tangible victories in their effort to free the Dublin system from control of the Bretonian government, they've still managed to fight a vastly superior military force to a near standstill. Arranmore is one of the first Molly made base.
Arranmore serves still as the core of old Molly ideals, the fight for freedom.
Poole, Coleraine Base
After the destruction on Planet Cork by a Corsair invasion force, the majority of Mollys on the planet moved to Coleraine base built inside a huge asteroid. Molly Republic High Command and the bulk of all Molly forces lived on this station. It was the brainchild of Dr. Patrick O'Carrol. Since the completion of Kilrea, the overpopulated station was relieved and it has now apparently been moved elsewhere in the nebula it sits in. It is now more of a last resort for the Mollys, should anyone overrun their bases outside of Londonderry or inside.
Poole, Foyle Shipyard
Foyle is the secondary Molly ship production facility where they assemble the Rogue Gunboats and the mighty Scylla after getting the parts shipped in from their allies. Several well-known ship designers from Bretonia who are believed to have defected to the Molly's may be conducting their work here. The station has been the subject of debate by several of the new Molly Council, with ideas of turning it into a smaller snub craft production facility being favored.
Poole, Kilrea Orbital Station
Following the destruction of all life on Planet Cork by the Corsairs, all survivors fled to nearby Coleraine base, the Military HQ of the Molly freedom movement. Coleraine was not outfitted to maintain so many refugees, and plans for a civilian station were quickly drawn up. The station was named Kilrea, after Shamus Kilrea, the man who helped to evacuate thousands of refugees from Cork's surface just before the orbital bombardment commenced. The inhospitable and volatile world of Cork, which Kilrea orbits, is a reminder to all residents of Kilrea station that evil lurks in the hearts of men, and what that evil is capable of. It is a driving force, for all Mollys, men, women, and children to never let such a catastrophe ever happen again.
Omega-49, Garvagh Base
With the Corsair advance towards Dublin becoming an increasingly alarming issue amongst the Mollys, the need for a forward base to help curb Corsair ambitions became paramount. Every step the Corsairs took in Omega-49 pressured the Mollys into taking action, resulting in their decision to construct Garvagh Base as an answer to the issue. At present, Garvagh services both Molly patrol wings and Coalition strike craft tasked with expunging the Corsair presence from the region. Molly forces farther out in the Omegas also use this facility as their base of operations or, if not, a key waypoint on the route back to Bretonia. Furthermore, it serves as an overflow smelting location for gold ore mined from Dublin, in order to help fuel the Mollys' separatist movement across Bretonia.
Manchester, Destroyer Shillelagh
This Scylla class destroyer serves as a staging area for small Molly raiders operating in New London. Its size allows it to only service strikecraft.
Cambridge, Lisburn Rock
Discovered in 794 AS, by Molly scouts returning from a reconnaissance mission into Omega 5, Lisburn Rock was the perfect location to construct a fortress for basing Molly forces at, from which they would be able to combat Corsair incursions into Bretonia. A huge rock asteroid located on the edges of the Keswick ice cloud in Cambridge, the interior was hollowed out and construction was eventually completed in 804 AS
Newcastle, Mull Base
Mull base was created by the Mollys in 772 AS, shortly after the jump hole from the Chester system was discovered. The nebula was chosen because of its sensor scattering properties, and the large asteroids make it very difficult for the Bretonia Armed Forces to explore in any great detail. The base is heavily fortified, with numerous patrols keeping watch and alerting the base of would-be attackers. Mull houses some of the Mollys most daring weapon designers, ranging from experts on Neutron weapons for the Molly fighters to nuclear weapon designers, who create the "suitcase specials" for use in their terrorist attacks. Although the Bretonian Armed Forces are well aware the Mollys must have a base in the nebula, they have thus far been unable to find it.
New London
Heart of the Bretonian Crown, even without a base of operation within the New London system, the Mollys have their own ways to freely enter and leave the system. Using the Southampton Debris Field for cover to launch frequent raids on the close trade lanes and the Dublin Jump Gate to catch those who are leaving or entering the Republic of Dublin.
Leeds
During the rule of Bretonia before the Gallic war, Leeds used to be a frequent spot of Molly raids. During the war, the Mollys decreased their activities within the system and focused on other parts of Bretonia. The Mollys may still attack the Bretonian Armed Forces vessels on their patrol routes to cause mild damage.
» Goals:
- To take over Dublin & remove it from Government or corporative rule.
- Eliminating the Corsair threat.
- Profiting in any way possible.
- Defending our turf from hostile attacks and intentions.
- Supplying & Supporting the Liberty Rogues.
The "Jackal" Light Fighter provides a humble but ingenious frame designed primarily for speed over safety considerations. Intended to compete with military-grade interceptors, the affordable price tag makes it an attractive choice for less-than-reputable militias looking to complement armories that are already stocked with proven heavy fighter designs.
» Z-4800 "Greyhound" Pirate Very Heavy Fighter
The Z-4800 "Greyhound" is the newest model from the Z Series line of ships. Designed by the principle of need rather than creative design, the Greyhound is a stripped-down combination of a number of heavier ships from the ship line, designed to at the very least match the speed and capabilities of mainline fighters of other factions. While not particularly exceptional in flight, the Greyhound nonetheless fills the escort niche, so desperately needed among users of the Z Series ship line.
» Z-5900 "Werewolf" Pirate Super Heavy Fighter
"A wolf in the night," this ship has enough expanded features to ensure that it has the advantage in the equal-armed conflict. The Werewolf has enough armor and a generously amplified power output to easily wear down combatants, while also harboring enough cargo space to easily strip them down and carry off the spoils.
» Z-5500 "Hyena" Pirate Light Bomber
Despite the best efforts of the most sober minds among the Mollys and Liberty Rogues, the upgraded version of the often-ridiculed Bloodhound wasn't able to succeed in its Heavy Fighter role. Better Shields and a bigger core simply weren't enough to compensate for the ship's massive bulk. Rather than dropping the established design entirely, it was decided to sacrifice any semblance of fighter agility and instead use the ship's large frame to contain a Bomber-grade power core and much heavier armor plating. The Hyena proved a suitable platform for this modification - the Z-line has always been known for its remarkable ability to be improved simply by adding more power. With its dual Cruise Disruptor and Torpedo setup enlarged to use bomber weapons, the ship has finally become a serious threat, perfectly supplementing the superheavy Barghest-class among Liberty and Bretonia's Pirates.
» Z-9000 "Barghest" Liberty Rogue/Molly Bomber
The Barghest is a mythological creature from English folklore: a monstrous black dog with huge teeth and claws that comes at night to bring sorrow and fright. The fearsome name belongs to a ship no less fearsome: designed by the Liberty Rogues, the Barghest Bomber is the most heavily armored bomber built-in known space, comparable to small gunships and Super Heavy Fighters in size. Piloted by a crew of three, this ship is not only capable of destroying enemy capital ships, but also has a large cargo hold capable of carrying much more salvage than any other fighter could take aboard.
This vessel, and the technology powering it, is jealously guarded by both of its parent organizations. Any pilot outside of their ranks found to be in its possession is subject to a short life indeed.
» Warships:
» RA-4 "Hellhound" Liberty Rogue Gunboat
Developed by the Liberty Rogue engineers at Buffalo, the Rogue Gunboat is known as a clumsy and roughly constructed ship. However, in skillful hands this inexpensive gunboat can become a devastating weapon due to its formidable armor and advanced power array. Liberty Rogues are not only using the gunboat for their own purposes in the Liberty systems and the Independent Worlds; many ships of this class are sold to Mollys of Dublin to aid their endless struggle against the Corsairs.
» "Scylla" Rogue/Molly Destroyer
Long before it became apparent that the eminent discontinuation of the RM-1 Outcast Destroyer would pose a severe threat to the tactical operations of their organizations, the Liberty Rogues and Mollys found themselves meeting again to discuss possible solutions to the heavy burden the technically complex Outcast vessel was placing upon their mutual resources. With the decision that a possible replacement vessel could be in order, the best minds available were recruited at gunpoint and put to work with utmost secrecy to craft a capital class vessel capable of defending critical infrastructure against the heaviest of hostile incursions. Composed of a heady blend of the best in available Outcast operational technology and robust design ethos, the Scylla is the pride of the factions who crafted her.
» Transport Division: » Z-6150 "Bactrian" Pirate Freighter
On the edge of legality, the demands for the most basic fruits of commerce become incredibly pressing. Basic foodstuffs, recycled water, new clothing, fresh materials for station-side equipment...All of these are things that every station needs, and when you cant simply have it delivered, you have to find an alternative method. The Bactrian is the solution to the problem of supporting the needs of the thousands of people who cannot simply tap into the legitimate trade networks in each system. It is seen hauling stolen goods in its sizable and well-armored cargo hold just as often as it is seen buying goods, bringing every sort of product to the markets that line the underbelly, and indeed the pockets of the underbelly, of the Sirius trade network.
» Z-8500 "Bullmastiff" Pirate Transport
Designed by the Liberty Rogues, the Pirate Transport is one of the few transport-class vessels available to the unlawful population of Sirius. This ship is too distinctive to be used for smuggling in areas heavily patrolled by police and military. However, the Transport is a great choice for smugglers carrying goods from one pirate base to another using dangerous and lengthy routes. Heavy armor and advanced equipment come in handy if the ship is threatened by hostile pirates and bounty hunters alike..
» Z-8550 "Pitbull" Pirate Train
Designed by the Liberty Rogues, the Pirate Transport is one of the few transport-class vessels available to the unlawful population of Sirius. This ship is too distinctive to be used for smuggling in areas heavily patrolled by police and military. However, the Transport is a great choice for smugglers carrying goods from one pirate base to another using dangerous and lengthy routes. Heavy armor and advanced equipment come in handy if the ship is threatened by hostile pirates and bounty hunters alike..
Despite the efforts of the Mollys to further improve their technology they also tend to use equipment and technology of their allies such as the Red Hessians, Lane Hackers or Junkers in limited capacities.

The allies of the Mollys are the allies of the Mollys with near to no differences. Allies of the Mollys will be treated with respect and aid shall always come when needed, only because of each other, we can be what we want to be.
Other Molly movement groups
Red Hessians
Independent Miners Guild

Neutral entities are usually not being minded too much unless there is a reason. No hostility is going towards them as long as the same can be expected vice versa.
Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army
Lane Hackers
Outcasts
Hostile
The sworn enemies of the Molly Republic will nearly always experience the force of the movement. Diplomatic attempts with these organizations are mostly worth nothing and aren't being used in the first place. Their destruction must happen as soon as possible. Bounty Hunters Guild
Corsair Empire
Slomon K’hara
Das Wilde

Bretonian Lawfuls
Write up mentions Londonderry which does not exist, should probably update the write up instead of copying old faction descriptions.
Anyway, best of luck. Fortunately there is an uplift of activity in Omega 49 so you've plenty to do. Oh and try to avoid the Irish accented Comms, it's hard to read and noone likes them.
