people have real lifes, and surely they can't be here as many time they would like. maybe if the minimum require time has lower, that could maintain the will to continue!!

Once something fun becomes a chore, it's no more fun. Also, how come Game Masters have time for a destructive and frustrating system like this, while SRPs are being voted on for multiple months with little to no communication in sight?
Excuse me for the little rant, I'm grateful people are actively working on this mod and managing the community, but I see no positive effect from the current OF activity system.
I got up early this morning and whilst I was having my first 2 cups of coffee, to wake up, I decided to get it out the way. The reason I have the time is that, when I am not at work, I put in at least 4-6 hours per day doing GM related things (even more over this holiday period).
As for SRPs, there are no outstanding Requests.
There is nothing stopping people playing this Game, but if you want to be an Official Faction, there is a certain hoop one is required to jump through and that is achieve 72 hours activity in a quarter (this equates to about 45 minutes per day). This is all that is required to remain an Official Faction. Effectively, other than achieving the required hours, a Faction can sit on its laurels and do nothing else (not all, but there a few out there that do).
Being an Indy Faction, there are no hoops to jump through and one can quite happily play the Game. If you want to be on the Tracker, as an Indy Faction, then the one hoop you must jump through is the requirement to have 24 hours activity in any quarter (equates to about 15 minutes every day of the quarter). This is specified as a requirement for those wanting to be put on the Tracker. Otherwise you can play as much or as little as you want and you don't have to answer to anyone.
In my opinion, being an Official Faction is overrated and there isn't much difference from an Indy Faction other than some people like to mention that they are 'Official' and therefore, somehow, are better than the rest. There are complaints that the Devs don't listen to the OFLs anyway.
What would you suggest we should do to set as a benchmark for Official Factions?
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

New players would rather apply for official factions. Having your own structured subforum also helps to handle things. You may have fun promoting your faction if your threads fell down onto page 5 or deeper in unofficial factions forum. You still have better chances to deliver something to devs as OFL than indie faction leader. You have OF rights.
In combinations, those things matter quite a lot. Yes, it's not something super big, but it's just a reward you get for delivering stable activity and decent quality of RP.
