I dedicated a fair portion of that post I wrote outlining that the team's backend lacks a frontend, and that our backend is not made of people persons, who ought not be peopling. Apologizes for the absolute trashfire of the sentence there, but my point is that this is what happens when people who ought not be peopling are forced to... people.
God, sorry, that was a strange thing to say.
No, it's alright. I get it. Being a people person can be quite difficult even for someone used to public relations, especially if the concerned people are as vindictive and insidious as both history and human nature shows they can be(with this community not being an exception to the fact). There might have been a point in time where I was grossly upset with the development team and decried it as the foulest thing in existence, again owed mostly to personal disagreements rather than anything perceived as professional misconduct. I've observed, especially during the most recent patches, that the community can and will choose to be dissatisfied over virtually anything. And that there is very little that can be done to please the fair number of people with that mindset.
I'll just hope for the best, criticize shortcomings where I see them regardless of which party committed it. If I can contribute anything towards infocard development please get in touch with me.
Reeves should be let into the dev team as a writer. It sounds crazy but it would send a strong, positive message and prove that the dev team is inclusive of those who are willing to work respectfully and professionally. And if it goes wrong? So be it, life is about calculated risks.
And as mentioned via Discord, I will do the role mentioned if it will help this situation we are in.
Not really sure if this goes here, and I did not read prior comments. But I work with content creation, text creation etc.
So if anyone feel the need to give me some pointers, then I'd be more than happen to write rough draft texts for stations, planets etc.
Maybe that might make it easier for the devs if they only have to make changes to a text rather than to write it from strach. I see many stations and planets with no descriptions.
Why do I want to help? Well the lack of stations, etc., with any kind of description is bugging the living ***** out of my OCD/analness.
In other words: the Development Team can do things better than talk about doing things, lacks a proper PR Manager to fix that issue, and doesn't trust the masses with the objective and unbiased responsibility required for involvement in storyline decisions (which is a fair point imo). I hope I summed it up properly, clearly and understandably.
