To: Kusari Government From: Shinjuku Station, New Tokyo Subject: Questions & Concerns Star Date: 18/02/827 A.S.
Konnichiwa,
My name is Satoshi Endo, from Samura Heavy Industries' legal department. One of our drones was unlawfully intercepted and destroyed by the Gas Miners' Guild. However before that, it transmitted some data:
Quote:GMG|Namura.Maru: Good day. Samura|-Takeda.miner: konnichiwa GMG|Namura.Maru: Samura ship, mining operations in the Sigma systems may only be conducted by the Gas Miners Guild and Kishiro Technologies. GMG|Namura.Maru: Your actions are in violation of Guild law. GMG|Namura.Maru: You are therefore ordered to drop your cargo and cease your mining operation. Samura|-Takeda.miner: wait asec GMG|Namura.Maru: Please jettison your hold. GMG|Namura.Maru: Failure to comply with Guild directives will result in ship destruction. GMG|Namura.Maru: Very well. Discharging weapons Death: Samura|-Takeda.miner was put out of action by GMG|Namura.Maru (Gun).
While the GMG brutality is well-known and Kusari has mourned many lives over the years as a result of these violent acts, I would like to focus on the so-called "Guild directives" and inquire if our government has accepted that only the Gas Miners' Guild and Kishiro Technologies may conduct mining operations in the Sigma star cluster.
We would also like to inquire if our government has agreed to any other, yet unknown, restrictions on our companies. While this is not my area of expertise I understand that companies will be forced to release some of their employees because of the expected financial losses.
Our biggest concern however is that these actions might derail the peace process with House Rheinland and skirmishes will flare again across the sector.
Arigatou for your time and assistance in this matter.
