So, very recently Rimworld had an unexpected 1.1 patch drop, and today that was followed up with the unannounced Royalty DLC being released. Pretty cool stuff!
I remember way back when, there were a few community games where someone would play a session with colonists named after volunteers from the forum. A bit like @sindroms' old DF games.
Seems like a cool time to try something like that again, while the new mechanics are more or less unknown and the probability of dying horribly is high.
I couldn't think of anywhere better to play a game of Sociopath Simulator than this place, so Would anyone be interested in a community game like that? I'm not into streaming, but I'd be happy to write up an illustrated AAR type deal to let people know how 'they' were faring.
Colonists:
Joseph @Wolfs Ghost deFrance - initial colonist, alive.
Miroslav @ONIKS deGobineau - initial colonist, dead.
Isaac @Spectre Duloffre - initial colonist, alive.

Alright, we've got enough people to run the basic crashlanded scenario, so here's what I'll do:
1. All colonists are randomised. This means the stats and traits could be literally anything, and there's no guarantee on gender.
2. Anyone else who wants to play gets added to the list in order of recruitment.
3. I'll always recruit / rescue / imprison a colonist if there is someone pending on the list.
4. I'll try and post an update daily with a recap of what happened and how things are looking.
5. We're probably all going to die pretty quick.
6. Game settings will be Randy Random on medium, commitment mode.
Worldgen:
Seed - Discovery
Globe coverage - 50%
Rainfall - normal
Temperature - normal
Population - normal
Colony coordinates: 0.60N, 30.95E.

Okay, we've got our first three contestants lined up, fully randomized:
Overall, a pretty well rounded skillset. The traits on the other hand...
WolfsGhost hates women, which is going to cause a problem with OINKS who is also a misandrist. OINKS is married to Spectre, which probably won't last long because of the aforementioned misandry. That is potentially going to cause a problem because Spectre is highly neurotic and could go on a murderous rampage at the drop of a hat.
!!!FUN!!!
We've crashlanded in the mountainous tropics of Planet Discovery... Here's the view from the landing site. I think we'll dig in to the north in that sheltered area.
