To the esteemed Foreign & Commonwealth Office, of the Government of Kingdom of Bretonia
Greetings and salutations. Minister Toshinori, of Foreign Affairs of the Reformed Empire of Kusari, addresses you today. I hope my esteemed colleagues and counterparts find themselves well on this early spring season. Well, here in New Tokyo whether is Springs cherry blossom season, or golden leaves Fall, it's bound to rain a while.
I'm sure your esteemed office would prefer to receive regular messages of praising the seasons and friendly and interesting titbits of faraway places, but as it is our shared burden and fate, messages mean work or business, not chit chat.
It has been brought to our attention, although we needed some time to properly analyse it, that Bretonian state media recently published an article regarding some odd scandal in the Rheinland political circles, but at the same time throwing suspicions and accusations that Rheinland high officials of the Foreign Affairs Ministry could be aligned to well known terrorist movements of the Red Hessian Army.
Naturally, these are some disturbing accusations, as much as a state diplomatic office activity being leaked out by a statesman of a lower level administrative subsection of the government apparatus.
Our government would like to request the following clarifications from the Bretonian government, where it is possible.
1) Is the information and alleged facts divulged by the Governor VonClaussen real, and of knowledge of the Bretonian government before the leak? Or is it a fabrication meant to discredit his political opponents at home?
2) In public records of agreements and treaties published by the Kingdom of Bretonia (IMG-Bretonian Peace Agreement of 826) , it is indicated that "The Kingdom will lift it's claims for any and all assets of The Guild", with no specific mentions or exceptions of Aland Shipyard. Is it understood that the Kingdom of Bretonia does not see the occupation of Aland Shipyard as an intent of control and claim on behalf of the Kingdom interests, and that IMG administration will be returned to the station in the near future?
3) Have any of the "experts" suspicions about Red Hessian Army agents in the diplomatic office been supported by evidence? Has the BBC editorial staff engaged in libel against the Rheinland statesmen, without a word of against by the Bretonian Government and Foreign Office?
Without any other topics at the moment, I end my message. My channel will remain open for your replies and counter inquiries.
With cordial regards, Toshinori Kojirou
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Kingdom of Bretonia
Foreign & Commonwealth Office
Good Evening Minister Kojirou,
Please allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Philip Young, Permanent Secretary and Head of Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service. It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance Minister. It is unfortunate that this issue has arose once more, but I am more than happy to answer any queries you have. If you'll allow me, I'll address each of your points in turn.
Before that, I wish to address the point of "Bretonian State Media". There is no Bretonian state media. The Bretonian Broadcasting Corporation is a civilian corporation, producing articles and reports at the discretion of their editors. If any complaints are to be levied, I would advise to speak to the BBC's Director-General.
In regards to your first point, I believe the information and alleged facts you refer to are the notes of Hessian units operating in league with Rheinland Corporate interests. I'm afraid to report that during the ongoing conflict, IMG flights were reported alongside wings of the subsidiary known under [ALG], alongside Red Hessian forces. We also found forces of the then Gallic Intelligence forces operating alongside them. We believe this was an attempt for these forces to destabilise Bretonian interests, and cripple our shipbuilding and repair capabilities. A Freedom of Information request has been submitted with the Defence Ministry should you require these reports in full.
Moving to point 2, the original offer made to the Miners Guild was that we would take control of Aland station during the war to ensure we was able to repair and resupply our ships, with the intention of either compensating the Guild, or returning the shipyard once an amicable solution and or replacement could be found. When the Guild declared war, we made it clear that this left the table. You can find the negotiations around the peace treaty that set an end to this here. The issue over Aland was brought up, and we made it clear with the Guild that that option left the table when hostilities began. They accepted this point, and proceeded to sign the agreement, knowing we did not agree to turning the shipyard over to them. In the interests of clarity, HM Government has arranged for contact to be made with the IMG to amend the wording to make this clear to any outside parties.
Ending with point number 3, once again I can only state that the BBC is it's own corporation with it's own interests. Unless a statement is issued by this or any other government office, it should be treated with the appropriate "pinch of salt".
I hope this answers your queries, but if you have any further questions, or would like me to clarify further, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
On Behalf of HM Government of the Kingdom of Bretonia,
Philip Young
Permanent Secretary, FCO
Head of Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service
To the esteemed Foreign & Commonwealth Office, of the Government of Kingdom of Bretonia
Right, I guess our information was wrong, and neither the scandalous remarks broadcasted by bretonian media nor the continued Aland occupation are the fault of Bretonian State. Understood.
I was considering ending our conversation on this note, but fortunately I was reminded of another topic to bring to you. You see, last year when the apex of destruction was falling upon Bretonian homes and citizenry, your representatives had sent a very emotional plea for help and support to the Houses of Kusari and Rheinland. Being a participant at the time, I recall we pledged to provide some relief to Bretonia, even if it wasn't in an immediate fashion.
The war is over, and Kusari sees that the situation has changed enough to provide the suitable assistance. The Reformed Empire of Kusari Government has signed a parcel of this years budget of over five billion sirian credits to be handed as an investment to Bretonia, to assist in reconstruction and recovery efforts in New London and elsewhere. The funds are being handled by Interspace Commerce, and should be processed and received on your treasury references in the coming days.
We have sent instructions to our big economic entities, Kishiro Technologies and Samura Industries, to enter contact with your agencies, so as to give consultation on further efforts Kusari can do to assist in the recovery of a fellow House in it's time of need.
Without any other topics at the moment, I end my message. My channel will remain open for your replies and counter inquiries.
With cordial regards, Toshinori Kojirou

To the esteemed Foreign & Commonwealth Office, of the Government of Kingdom of Bretonia
Greetings once again. I'm sure that recent cabinet reshuffling following the elections have kept even the Foreign and Commonwealth Office quite busy, in these challenging times.
I have opened on a previous occasion a channel with your esteemed office to parley about some essential changes on the question of security and trade in the Tau region, which we would have liked to have some robust discussions with our Bretonian counterparts by this time already. In the meantime, our Kusari Naval Forces have been authorized to secure the main corridors to Bretonia from unknown foreign elements who were complacent to the Outcast scourge and rampant piracy, as you should know by now. Also, mirroring similar concerns that we set upon the Taus, we have deliberated and declared a state of war upon the Gallic State, also public knowledge by now.
Let me be straightforward, and dispel any lingering concerns regarding your connections with these decisions. We have no intention to issue a Call of Arms to the Bretonian Government against the Gallic Regime, or any of the rebellious groups in the Taus. The burdens of the House of Bretonia have been heavy for this past decade, and Kusari feels it is our turn to upheld our share of the burden to keep the Taus secured for trade and travel.
The Reformed Empire of Kusari seeks to restore balance to the Tau region, to disarm Gallia from it's material and ideological threats it still holds in their hearts, and to redrawn the lines between the future protectors of the peace in the border regions. It is our sincere hope that Gallia will relent and accept our will soon and without much loss of life, and be willing to have a place in this future we envision. We also wish to call the House of Bretonia among our friends who, after peace is achieved and the nation rebuilt, will stand alongside us and ensure that the Taus remain a prosperous and vibrant commercial region, free from devious influences of drug peddlers and revanchists who prefer to bring the damming consequences to the conquered rather than accept defeat with honor.
I wish once again to arrange for a meeting to discuss our nations future relations regarding the Tau sector at your earliest convenience.
In other news, our government was glad with the joyful news that our Bretonian Recovery Funds have begun to be implemented successfully in the war thorn regions. There are ongoing talks to draft a second Recovery Fund, in similar or greater monetary value, for next year's budget. I'll bring you more information about such case, when we meet.
With cordial regards, Toshinori Kojirou
