Bonjour Monsieur Lallemand
During my visit to the Provence system the possible construction of Trades Lines, I came across the wreck of the Battleship Arles, the former royalist ship that fought the former Battleship of the Council, the Oblique. Although the Arles is a wreck, it seems that it is damaged...repairable. In the sense that, at first glance, the armour seems to have withstood the battle and the hull has no cracks. Pictures of the Arles are sent as an attachment! I ask for permission for further checks to be made on the wreck, and that I contact the Marine Nationale Gauloise and the Parisian Assembly, to find out if they are interested in this project, if the results of the Arles are positive!

Bonjour, Monsieur Gereand.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, the Confederacy is wishing for EFL to maintain some production of naval vessels in the coming months. And vessels such as this would be wasted to remain as derelicts.
You have my permission to perform what scans and analysis' you are able to without boarding the ship. After your initial report, I will assess the situation before sending it up the chain. The Confederacy is likely to want the ship back in working order assuming it is worth repairing and not scrapping.

Bonjour, Postes au Conseil. On behalf of Stratégie et Innovation I present this report summary.
I tasked monsieur Carbonnneau to scout potential locations for the construction of a trading post to facilitate trade between Rheinland and Gallia. Pending the completion of the Jump-Gate and Trade-Lane connections between the two systems.
In his report, he identified that there would be no commercial market hub between Planet Amiens and Planet Stuttgart in which various commercial or industrial goods could be sold between Rheinland and Gallia. At least, not under a Gallic corporation. Tholey Station exists within Cologne, however it is understood that this is mostly an industrial and office accommodation station, primary around the development of Planet Saarbruken. It is estimated, that the station would need to undergo a number of large changes to make it suitable as a commercial hub.
However, as you may also be aware, we have the Oerlikon Stellar Observatory, a research stations established to better understand the Zurich system. More recently it has had a duel use in being a supply depot for the construction of the connection to Rheinland. However I believe it is in the same situation as Tholey Station and that it is undesirable to further morph the station with more facilities that would be needed to make it accessible and usable as a border commercial market hub.
Monsieur Carbonnneau then suggested the construction of a station with the suitable facilities for commercial trading at Cresta, currently at the tip of the trade lane construction project. He also suggested that we reach out the the Gendarmerie to construct a border station at the Cologne Jump Gate, allowing the border station to handling policing activities to incoming traffic before they are able to attempt to bring such commodities to the trading post. Some images from his report are provided in the attachments.
Lastly, I recommend that if such a station construction should be undertaken, then we establish a joint enterprise with IDF Shipping in doing so. The station should be of considerable interest in their business and of course could be used to help smooth over some of the financial difficulties once completed, that they have been experiencing since the fall of the Crown. Given their current financial situation however, it is unlikely that they maybe able to support the effort; so I would suggest EFL to front the bill, provide the contracts to IDF and in return request a modest share of IDF shipping stock. As well as indefinite access to the stations commercial market.

Bonjour Monsieur Lallemand
The analysis of the Battleship Arles has been done, and unfortunately, it was filled with bad news.
The Arles was extremely damaged during the Battle of Provence. The reactor overloaded, it burned out along with a large part of the weapons and electronics system. The ammunition reserve was hit, causing the superstructure to die. Only the electronics in the command post are working... but the systems are corrupted.
I'll be brief... it would cost a lot of money to fix it. We could always take the wreck to Rambouillet to dismantle it, which would allow the creation of a new battleship much faster and cheaper. But we would still need the agreement of the Marine Nationale before we could try anything.

Bonjour Monsieur Lallemand,
The Arles was inspected yesterday. It took a long time to be done, about 10 hours. I must also warn you beforehand that a member of the inspection team was injured during the operation, fortunately he is fine, apart from an leg in a cast.
On the outside, the hull has several holes, which means that the wreck has no oxygen, but we had foreseen the blow. Inside the wreckage, team made a precise inspection, although the engines are burnt out and the hangar is destroyed with several ship's carcasses inside, the water purification system is completely intact, as well as one of the batteries of the forward cannon. as for finally the control station system, it seems that the systems are operational, but the digital storage is buggered. According to our first estimates... it looks like the salvage of the ship could last about five months!
I would like to thank the captain of the Glorieus Avance and his crew as well as the pilot of the Argonaute for their participation in this operation.

Bonjour, Postes au Conseil.
As part of our partnership with IDF Shipping, we've been supporting their transports with our own vessels in order to maximise capacity, ensuring efficient movement of goods too and from Gallia while managing to keep costs at a reasonable level.
We sent out several shipments of Molybdenum ore to both Rheinland and the deep Omicrons - with assistance from the GMS and their mining operations within the Languedoc system. Our first trip took us to the heart of Rheinland, New Berlin, our return trip was facilitated by the Independant Miners Guild and we returned Uncut Diamonds from their operation within the Omega 2 system. The trip was rather uneventful with no notable encounters.
Our second trip with Molybdenum went to the Omicron Theta system. One of the Zoner Freeports seems to pay well for our ore and we met with a Corsair on the station who directed us to an operation they were running within a gas giant, Planet Knossos. They filled our transports with strange artifacts from an alien ruin within the upper atmosphere of the planet. We were accosted by two unknown signals, one appeared to be an alien vessel and the other some strange hybrid gunboat type craft. Our convoy - along with Corsair assistance, made quick work of the gunboat and the smaller vessel made a quick escape.
We transported the artifacts back to Gallia without any further interruption, i'm sure someone will get a kick out of studying them.

Bonsoir, Postes au Conseil.
A somewhat late report, we've been running escort with some of the military hardware leased to us by the Assembly, in our continuing partnership with IDF Shipping.
Our escort mission was fortunately fairly uneventful until we were back in Gallia. Upon our arrival into the Orleanais system an Enclave Battleship ambushed us not far from the Chartes Space Colony. A surprise to be sure, however our two escort vessels managed to run interference for the convoy to pass entirely unharmed. Obviously there was not much we were able to do to such a large vessel. We attempted to get a message to the military but it appeared as though the Enclave vessel was jamming our communications. After some time the battleship seemed to grow tired of us harrassing it and simply left without a word.
A very strange encounter to be sure and hopefully not one that'll be repeated.

Bonjour.
At around 00:10 a Kusari Naval Forces fighter entered Languedoc and began threatening to seize the Molybdenum ore field. He was confronted by an IDF secuirty ship and myself, he eventually choose to retreat from he stand off. I have included the logs.
[28.06.2020 00:08:08] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: Maybe we'll take that resourceful Molybdenum field of yours.
[28.06.2020 00:08:17] IDF|S.Pomeroy: I don't think so.
[28.06.2020 00:08:25] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: A corporate pawn like you has no say in that.
[28.06.2020 00:08:40] EFL~Aramis.Carbonneau: What is this man doing here?
[28.06.2020 00:08:46] IDF|S.Pomeroy: As long as I draw breath, I do have a say in it.
[28.06.2020 00:09:04] IDF|S.Pomeroy: He is... being delusional.
[28.06.2020 00:09:13] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: You'll see soon enough.
[28.06.2020 00:09:29] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: I knew it.
[28.06.2020 00:09:34] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: So
[28.06.2020 00:09:38] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: You want to be a vigilante?
[28.06.2020 00:09:56] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: Give it your best.
[28.06.2020 00:10:02] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: I'll make it easier for you, shoot first.
[28.06.2020 00:10:12] IDF|S.Pomeroy: I don't think so.
[28.06.2020 00:10:27] [KNF]'Ronin'|66th: Aha.
[28.06.2020 00:12:15] EFL~Aramis.Carbonneau: Did that Kusari threaten to take the ore field?
[28.06.2020 00:12:23] IDF|S.Pomeroy: Oui.
[28.06.2020 00:12:29] EFL~Aramis.Carbonneau: We should report this incursion.

Bonsoir, Postes au Conseil.
I was dispatched to the lane toward the Tau-23 gate today after one of the rings sent out an automatic maintainence call. I encountered a KNF and Kempetai vessel causing significant damage to the superstructure of the lane itself. They stated that they were only targetting Defense vessels and proceeded to destroy an OCI Vessel that had also been in the lane with me.
I chose not to intervene due to the proximity to the Kusarian Battlegroup. I was unable to uplink to the lane and diagnose any current faults within the ring but I would highly recommend we suspend the entire lane for as long as the Kusari forces remain in the system. There's currently a very high risk to vessels passing through the lane for as long as repairs are unable to be conducted.
