Director,
. . . . .Battleship Arkansas has been redeployed in place of the now decommissioned Mississippi, and has taken up the standing orders of strike wing assistance and lane security.
Battleship Concord is pending new taskings with CALI under control from Alma. A few tactical postings are available for Concord, with Bering being one of them. However, we've been tied up with counting the ships and soldiers lost, so our data is a bit out of date. A SITREP of the Bering political instability and insurrection is requested.
That is all.

Fleet Admiral.
Well, Admiral, I had a SITREP for you all printed and ready to go, and then all hell decided to break loose on my coffee break.
The long and short of it is, Bering has gone from bad to worse in a matter of hours. The Rheinland powderkeg went off while we were looking the other way, and now God knows how many political refugees and newly jobless workers have flooded in from Hamburg, ready to pick up a gun and shoot it at the nearest thing resembling a cop. Lehigh's upstream without a paddle, and we're focusing most of our efforts in-system now on keeping her from getting double-teamed by the Separatists and the Unioners. Any hope of upturning the system and maybe taking control of the Freeport's been shot to pieces in the last forty-eight hours.
Rheinland's about as bad, if not worse. We're in limited contact with the BDM, who seem to be the only real representative of the Federals that are still picking up the phone. If what they're saying is true - and, for once, I have nothing to say it isn't - we've got maybe a few days before Stuttgart is an Imperial parking lot. The Buro's pilots aren't bad, but they're hopelessly outnumbered. I've authorized - through the Director - a limited intelligence excursion into Rheinland to attempt to assist where we can, without causing too many international incidents. Where we could use the Navy right now, more than ever, is in Hudson. We're about to have the biggest refugee crisis since Leeds, directly on our doorstep, and we're definitely not ready for it. Mass piracy and rioting is going to ensue, and you and I both know that you don't want us to be the ones in charge there when that happens. Especially not if there's cameras around.
I'd give it a few days, Admiral, see where things shake out. Hopefully the next time I hear from you, I'm not having to consider Rheinland warfleets over Houston again.
In service to the Republic.
