Subject: War with the Blood Dragons
Konnichiwa,
As of today, the Blood Dragons have formally declared war on the Gen'an Chrysanthemum Sisterhood. Tensions between us have been growing over the past months. First it began with their technological sanctions against us. Then they allowed the Coalition to start constructing a Coalition base in the Kyushu System. They tried to accuse us of treachery without evidence. They declared us to be a hostile faction. And finally, they opened fire on us with one of their battleships.
We finally struck back at the heart of their treacherous Shogunate. The weapon we had been constructing to be used against Battlecruiser Tyumen, was deployed against them instead. The Sister who volunteered to carry the payload to the target will forever be remembered as a hero.
This official declaration of war was handed to us in the past 24 hours:
Identification:Blood Dragon Shogunate Subject:Formal Declaration of War
JOINT RESOLUTION
Declaring that a state of war exists between the Gen'an Chrysanthemums and the Shogunate and the Clans of the Blood Dragons and making provisions to prosecute the same.
Whereas the Gen'an Chrysanthemums have committed a series of attacks tantamount to war against the Shogunate and Clans of the Blood Dragons: Therefore be it
Resolved by the Shogunate and the Council of Daimyo of the Blood Dragons assembled,
That the state of war between the Blood Dragon Shogunate and the Gen'an Chrysanthemums which has been thrust upon the Blood Dragon Shogunate is hereby formally declared; and the Shogun is hereby authorised and directed to employ the entire naval and military forces of the Blood Dragon Clans and the resources of the Shogunate to carry on war against the Gen'an Chrysanthemums; and to bring the conflict to a successful termination, all of the resources of the combined Blood Dragon Clans are hereby pledged by the Shogunate and Council of Daimyo.
Passed by the office of the Dragon Shogunate 15.04.827 A.S.

⧫ The Conflict
This conflict could have been avoided. Failure of announcing the further abuse of the Coalition for resources by the side of the Blood Dragons. Especially a failure to take into account what this construction site without the involvement of us, their sole local ally, brings as consequences.
But also failure by the Gen'an cell. Answer unwanted guests with gunfire, but the literal bad show of throwing provocations and threats at each other with the Blood Dragons is saddening. More so, you claim to deploy heavy weapons against them. What did you target? Did you endanger not just the Blood Dragons on board the asset you targeted?
Additionally, we denounce the tasteless act of leading an Outcast vessel to Kyoto. You would not want the Outcasts to lead a Core vessel to Ainu, just because they hold cordial relations with each other, do you? There was absolutely no need, despite trying to provoke a violent response by the Blood Dragons. Did you need to go down to their course of action? A course of leading uninvited guests to others homes, in this case the Coalition? This act is no better than their own and cannot be excused too.
Insulting their Shogun directly was just another 'great move'. As visible from the communication channel, at this point the Shogun took no stance on the situation himself yet, so it just adds to the prior provocation. End result, you got shot at.
I would have shot a Blood Dragon unprovoked insulting Lady Red too, no matter the circumstances. A Loyola Guard Pilot surely won't let an unprovoked insult towards Miss Loyola slip that easily too.
We acknowledge you turning your attention towards your meddling with the Blood Dragons. We will step aside and free you the path to waste resources on a century old ally, the same applies to them. While you clash, we urge you to keep it far away from any of the Golden Chrysanthemums assets. We will let the Blood Dragons belonging directly to the Shogunate know about this too. We will not tolerate shootings in the vicinity of Golden Chrysanthemum installations.
Furthermore, we urge the Outcasts to be ready on standby only at this point. Stepping in now will provoke a full-scale conflict, such a conflict will weaken all involved sides over nothing but sending a message. No side can afford weakening their position, not when the Naval Forces are as unoccupied as they are, able to focus almost all their force upon deterring our activities in Kusari.
Instead of getting involved into the, almost childish, mess the Shogunate and the Gen'an Cell got themselves in, we ask the Outcasts to be ready to support us in the removal of the actual objective. We have warned the Premier of the Coalition, they will face the gun. We hope that they will face our joint effort to ensure a quick and swift removal of their presence then.
This presence sparked the fire of the conflict Gen'an Cell and the Shogunate got themselves into. It sparked the fire for a conflict putting a heavy drain on the alliance we enjoyed with the Blood Dragons for so long. We consider the possibility that this was the Coalition's original goal when they introduced themselves to the Blood Dragons years ago, that at some point they make an unannounced appearance and drag our alliance into a war, destabilizing the majority of the underworld of Kusari in the progress. This possibility arose from the lack of information regarding the Blood Dragon's awareness of the Coalition's project, especially given their relative reactive responses to early inquires.
We have to ensure now that they gain no foothold in order to expand their influence in any way. Instead of bashing our own heads in, we have to put an end to it, but we doubt the Gen'an Cell nor the Shogunate will listen at this point, where emotions are high and the hearts filled with the fire of conflict.
So it will have to be our faithful friends from Malta to help us. We hope that you will indeed help us here. We shall not let them destabilize the dreams of a new Kusari!
In the name of the Golden Chrysanthemums,
R. Amaia, right hand of Lady Red.
To: GC-, GC| and other Maltese. From: Rodrigo Diaz Source: Planet Malta, Omicron Alpha. Subject: Outcast involvement.
Buenos noches, Amaia.
I would like to firstly address your pleading for Outcasts to not engage in the defence of the Gen'an.
I believe I may be speaking for both the Loyola Guard and the Coalición Imperial Maltesa when I say that you and the Gen'an are both our allies. We cannot therefore forgo assisting our ally because the Blood Dragons failed at their diplomatic duty to consider the greater ramifications of their actions in opening the rectum of Kusari to be violated by the Communist scum of the Omegas.
An attack on the GC, whether Lady Red's or the Gen'an, is an attack on some of our most valuable allies. And such disregard for their status towards Malta, and of Malta itself should in absolute terms bring its own consequence. The Dragons overstep their boundaries, through sheer arrogance and dishonourable conduct have lead this entire situation to become as volatile as it is.
Furthermore you are free to criticize the Gen'an for their chosen method to respond, and likewise I maybe able to see where better diplomacy could have brought a more favorable solution. If I were aware of all the correspondence. However, what is apparent is that the Blood Dragons intend to attack and kill the Gen'an, our ally, a declaration they have made; this is a fact you must take into account. You do not attack our family, and presume we will only watch over the conflict.
You are free to attempt to establish negotiations with the Blood Dragons for their folly, I would prefer this conflict resolved quickly and without the blood loss of the GC or Outcasts. But for now, and until then. The Blood Dragons should receive ample reason to regret crossing Malta.
Regards,
Rodrigo Diaz Coalición Imperial Maltesa
Furthermore, I am of the opinion that Crete should be destroyed. And I am considering the Blood Dragons.

Sister Amaia,
Well, we could have skipped the part of provocations and threats and opened fire right away, but we decided to give them a chance to remove the station before we took this step. We told them beforehand we are serious about this and not to wave the threat away.
As for the target. We took the weapon to Kyoto. The Oathbound Blood Dragons were warned in advance to evacuate. They, like us, view the Coalition as a menace to Kusari.
Third. the Maltese was there on his own volition. None of us lead him there. It was an unfortunate coincidence that he was there when a Blood Dragon spotted us, but not intentional. It was likely a scout that was sent there to investigate the Coalition influence.
Fourth. When you declare hostilities in the name of the Shogun, The Shogun will generally be disliked. Especially when he is used as an excuse for the lack of evidence on which they declare you a traitor. Alot can be said in the heat of the moment. Something your own operatives are not blameless off. Let me show you a recording of part of the battle around Tyumen:
Code:
[11.04.2020 20:44:05] GC|Lady.Cardamine: You imbecile Gen'aan. I am under fire!

[11.04.2020 20:46:48] GC|Aimi.Amaia: This are no Naval ships.
You can see one of your operatives accused us of quiet alot. We just let that one slide. So please don't lecture us on unprovoked insults. If you read any of the comms between the Blood Dragons and ourselves, which we know you received as we included you into the receipient list, you will see plenty of provocations from their side.
This "childish mess" as you call it, is called warfare. People already died for it on both sides. You may think this is a game, it is not. Do you think Matsuda viewed her fight as a "childish mess"? There are literal barbarians on the shores of Kyushu, aided by the Blood Dragons. Did you think I woke up some morning and thought: "Lets shoot some Blood Dragons today and see what happens?" Did you even read what I wrote the first part of my message? They declared hostility on us before the Shogun was even insulted.
We havent forgotten that cursed station. When everyone was still waiting for Coalition to take a seat at the negotiation table. How did that work out?
Did they actually send a formal war declaration? Amazing. Just wondering what was the point if everyone was already pointing guns and shooting.
I don't have anything new to say to what already has been said in previous comms. Any attacks on GCs are harmful to the interests of Malta and won't be tolerated. I don't care about context much, that's how things work. Woopie Dragons better back off now.
In any event, this declaration is taken into account, thanks for informing me, señorita Martiatch Kiri.
