Im finally starting to build a character with some backstory and stuff, i wanna give it a try, but, i have no idea about how to roleplay a transmission.
Also, i want to know the story about how the gallic war ended, im interested specially about the mutinies when the glassing of leeds happened. My character is based of that. A survivor of the gallic forces that mutinied.
To be honest, making a character wihout breaking the lore is kinda scary and discouraging. So i hope i dont get thrown off the window because of this.
I hope I got you right and you are interested in playing the GRE character. Thus, please, consider the following as my subjective opinion & advertises how I would play (and actually playing) the Enclave member.
As a part of the Gallic Royal Enclave, you could have 2 reasons to not defect into the Confederal navy:
1) You are loyal to the King and Royal family (DeFrance), you fanatically believe that his word is a law and thus, you took Leeds' destruction as necessary to weaker your enemies. You keep serving under the commandership of the Director-Regent Renée Hennequin d'Avignon, the former Marquise of Marseille. As a member of the Enclave, you are quite xenophobic and do not tolerate foreign people within your space (by this I mean not only Hybrides systems of Aquitaine, Brittany & Roussilon but the entire Gallia as well).
You serve well and gain influence within the militaristic junta society what directly connected with the second reason why you would not defect to the Confederal navy.
2) You wanted power, influence, cash, a noble title, lands or space facilities to you and your family - whatever. You joined the Enclave because this is what Enclave can offer to you without a necessity to deal with foreign people another way than with force.
The Enclave reminds me Imperial Remnant from the Star Wars Legends. I tried to be brief to don't bother you with many details but if you are interested to read more - @Lanakov wrote a lot about the Gallic society in MNG| forum. If you interested in playing Enclave - feel free to join one of the Enclave official factions (you can just join the discord to discuss the details and brainstorm your story, would you be willing to do this).
Then the 2 posts I mentioned above happened. Basically, Gallic offensive in New London failed, and they decided to do the only thing they could: deprive Bretonia of the industrial center they were about to recapture. Hence the Glassing of Leeds happened.
Not every Royal Navy officer agreed with the orders. Captains of some of the Triumphs refused the order. Most Triumphs were destroyed and are now in orbit of Leeds. However, at least one escaped and surrendered to Bretonians (duh!)
My take on the Enclave is slightly different than Groshyr's. If you're in the Enclave, you don't necessarily remain fanatically loyal to the King, Kingdom, Crown, etc. The Enclave is a military junta, run by a former Director of Gallic Royal Intelligence and the remaining ranking officers. It's not so black and white, as I mentioned in our faction write-up (it actually has a rather concise story as well).

Im afraid i wasted a bit of your time writing that wall of text, the idea of this character was to defect to liberty and escape struggling to leave his past behind.
Its backstory is that he at the moment of the glassing of leeds was set to the rearguard or sent as a scout, so he wasnt really present at the moment, but his friends, were part of the group that mutinied, and they all died.
I want to build him with a "survivor's guilt", as having to live with the people who murdered his loved ones has deteriorated him mentally. Coupled with having to keep his emotions in check to survive. I dont think he has any respect for the enclave left or the crown.
He simply served the gallic army before the end of the war, and got stuck with the enclave due to circumstances.
Still, this is still a work in progress and everything is open to changes. But hes definitely not sticking with the enclave.
