Mal, you got it wrong, DBoy didn't engage anyone... he just happened to be in transit. (I was the IND escort)
Boone out.
If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

Quote:Present in the system to defend Bretonia were the [SF] Battleship Sierra, accompanied by my own Gunboat as usual. Also on hand were two fighters from the [IND] Escort Wing, the sso| flagship Hand of Payne and fighter escort, Admiral of the Bs| DBoy (sso| and Bs| hostilities were set aside) and also a [Mandalore] Bounty Hunter looking for some action. The ELF vessel had truly stepped out of it's depth and so had decided to hide-out amongst the vast vacuum that is our home.
At no point in that paragraph of the report did I mention either (a) any BS| engaging ELF, or (b) that any BS| were actually in Cambridge for the purpose of it's defence. The term "on hand" was used to imply that should [SF] forces have requested the assistance of their allies, BS| could possibly have fulfilled that role.
Admiral DBoy, you should know by now how the ELF function, how they play on words regardless of their context, purposefully misconstruing even delicate diplomacy for their own dark means. I apologise for any confusion caused, though I'm still investigating how the SF Comms were compromised and this battle report leaked into ELF hands in the first place.
